About Driggs' Downtown Driggs

The new Idaho Potato ad on TV was shot in Wyoming - compare the photos - East face vs West face

I am seeing more and more on television the advertisement about Idaho potatoes. The ad features Denise Austin and at the end of the commercial she appears with the Tetons in the background holding a bag of potatoes that say "Grown in Idaho". I know these mountains very well as we spend our summer ballooning on the other side of the Tetons - the Idaho side around Driggs. I can say that I have flown more in Driggs in the past few years than any other place in the Rockies, so I know both sides of the Tetons. If you look up at the top of Grand Teton (13,775') which leans North- the summit of Teewinot is on the right.

Teton mountains

From Driggs, Idaho looking at the west face you will find Teewinot on the left side of Grand Teton. So the "Grown in Idaho" shot was taken in Wyoming near Jackson, not Idaho.

Harley Wilcox: Real Estate Agent in Victor, ID

Our Family had a lot of fun while raising funds and Awareness for a few Teton Valley Idaho, Driggs Non Profits. We plan to do it again next year.

With the generous giving of our small community we were able to collect:

•· Toys for Subs For Santa (estimated $200-$300 dollars)

•· Coats and winter clothes for Eastern Idaho Community Action Partnership (a 5' high box)

•· Learning Academy ($250.00)

•· American Legion ($75.00)

•· Housing Authority ($75.00)

Every little bit helps.

The First "Camp on Main" holiday event in Driggs Idaho was a great success. It was a lot of fun for our family and we had a lot of community support. It was a lot of work, but well worth the efforts. We would like to thank the community, friends and family for coming together for a good cause.

The food was great, the company was fantastic and the Holiday spirit was alive. We are thankful the weather was not like it was a few days after the event.

Please contact us if you would like a photograph of your picture with Santa, or camp activity for that matter.
