Today is the day that the Grys family gets their new home! It should be somewhere around 2pm. Parking for viewers is in the Sears parking lot. Shuttle buses are there to get spectators to the showing area.

Motorcycle accident

Oooocccchhhhh!!!!!!! Darn loose gravel! Well, if you haven't heard. I had my first accident on 9/1/08.

I was really lucky not to break any bones. Believe it or not, all the training came back to me and I rode the bike to the ground. I did however, slice my left forearm open really bad. I had to spend 4 hours in the ER trying to get all the gravel out of it before they could stitch it up. I know why they say to wear leather.

For all of my well wishers, THANK YOU! It meant a lot to hear from all of you. Even though you all thought to give me a new nickname....Crash! According to Kevin....I'm a true biker now!

I am doing great and almost ready to get out there for my next ride. (Guess my sister won't be loaning me her bike too soon again. :-)

The Pepsi Marigold Medallion Has Been Found

The Pepsi Marigold Medallion has been found!

It was found by Scott and Angela Jones of Pekin. This same couple found the found the Pepsi Marigold Medallion in 2002.

This year they found it in some bushes near the Miller Senior Center. More information will be released later, including an explanation of the clues.
