I collected all the data about Des Plaines, IL from MLS and had fun with iWork to make easy to understand charts.
There were 770 properties sold in 2009 in Des Plaines, IL with an average market time of 166 days. Average sold price was $180,982. Before the buble bursted the home value was 30% higher in 2006 compering with today's average home value of a home in Des Plaines.

In the chart below shows the volume of units sold by the price of the home in 2005 - 2009 in Des Plaines, IL.

Almost a year ago I decided to take some classes at local Oakton Community College in Des Plaines, IL and I got hooked.
I read so many posts about HTML, CSS, Blogging, SEO etc. on ActiceRain Real Estate Network. All the great reads made me interested to learn more. I needed to learn more to help me be better in the industry.
My first class was Building a Web Page. The class was great for a beginner like me. Finally I was able to understand HTML and much much more. Since than I took Web Authoring Software, Advanced Web Page Development where Java Script was a main topic. With being jealous of some great looking blogs I had to take Adobe Photoshop class, which was a lot of fun, and of course helps touching up the pictures of the homes we put on the market.
How many of us in the industry are Web Addicts, Bloggers, Photographers, Web Developers, Web Designers, SEO enthusiasts?
I forgot to mention that I will be a Certified Web Site Developer this year.
