Hartfield Estates Subdivision is located on the far north east side of North Aurora. This stylish subdivision features mostly two-story single-family homes built by Wyndham Deerpoint Homes in the late 1990's. Two features that make this subdivision stand out are the large Hartfield Park located centrally to the community and also the great variety of exterior home styles. This is perhaps one of the few subdivisions in the area that includes a modern incarnation of the Cape Cod. Hartfield Estates is popular with move-up homebuyers looking for more space. While most of the homes in Hartfield Estates (and North Aurora in general) feed into West Aurora School District 129, there are a few that do feed into Batavia Schools.

My Mirador Subdivision North Aurora detail page has been completed and I wanted to share some vital information about this beautiful west-suburban community. Mirador is located on the far west side of North Aurora off of Deerpath Road. It is located directly north of the Tanner Trails Subdivision and is popular with home buyers looking for an up-scale community with easy access to shopping and I-88. Mirador is a custom and semi-custom subdivision and features homes from several builders. At present, this North Aurora subdivision is perhaps 60% complete and although new construction has largely stopped for the time being, buyers should be able to find new construction in Mirador in the near future. One of the many things that really makes this community stand out is the fairly high percentage of single-story homes. These huge ranch homes in Mirador can range up to 2400 square feet with full basements - quite large for a single-story home with the footprint all on one level.

Chesterfield Subdivision is a large community in North Aurora built in the early years of the 2000's. Chesterfield features all detached single-family homes but offers a large range of models and options. Chesterfield is located south off of Butterfield Road between Kirk and River roads. You can easily see the entrance by the stylish brick entry sign and landscaped parkway leading into the community. Chesterfield is popular with both first-time home buyers as well as move-up buyers due to the wide range of square footage that homes in Chesterfield offer. Because Chesterfield was built less than 10 years ago, many of the features of these homes are modern features popularwith today's home owners. This includes open floorplans and partial brick or stone exteriors. Chesterfield is great for commuters who need easy access to I-88.

Woodland Lakes in North Aurora is a townhome community of perhaps 90 units built between 1997 and 2001. The subdivision is located near the corner of Butterfield Road and River (Rt. 25). The townhomes of Woodland Lakes includes several different styles including two models of ranch townhomes and also two-story models. These townhomes are located on the near east side of North Aurora fairly close to the Fox River and near the North Towne Homes complex. The townhomes in Woodland Lakes range in size from 1100 to 1400 square feet. It's interesting to note: there is also a Woodland Lakes townhome complex in Aurora. How confusing is that? Everyone already thinks North Aurora is just a term for the northern portion of Aurora, but it's definately a unique village. The Woodland Lakes in Aurora is on the far East side of the city, miles away from Woodland Lakes North Aurora.
