Lake Katherine - Palos Heights Illinois.  Lake Katherine is spread out on 91-acres and  has its own Clubhouse for residence, and local groups .For a smal rental fee this would be a great location for meetings, small weddings, birthdays, and anniversary parties.  On the grounds is a  Nature Center and Botanic Gardens and offers many ways to get you active and enjoying nature right outside your door.This is a great family tripp because its free and educational, you could make a day out of it, just pack a lunch and make sure you call ahead for the schedule of displays and children's activities.

There’s so much to do  at Lake Katherine for instance, you could take a walk on a scenic trail around the lake and you might even see  one of Bambi's relatives!.You can also examine different plants and flowers in the gardens, woodlands, and prairie.or just listen to the man made waterfall .There are benches you can sit on that are conveniently located with views of the lake, just unwind and  take it in, the sounds of animals, and the soothing sound of the waterfall.  I love Lake Katherine especially at this time  in the Fall because of all the changing colors of the  leaves. After spending time outside there's plenty to do inside. explore  Lake Katherine 's Frank Passerelli Nature Center. and get a closer view of  the live animals in the  lower level of the Wildlife Center.

Dont forget to join Palos Heights in celebrating their 50th Anniversary on October 17,2009. Lake Katherine will be hosting a fishing classic, and wine and food tasting.Some people have the beauty of Lake Katherine right outside their back door. Lake Katherine offers  2-story townhomes and Condos with wonderful views.
