Myra Ridge and South Ridge are two subdivisions in a rapidly growing area of southeast Urbana. The two neighborhoods are separated by a shared park and about 15 years of age.

The homes in Myra Ridge, the older of the two subdivisions, were built around 30 years ago which is evident by the mature trees lining the streets. Many of the homes have large, full trees in their front yards and the neighborhood has a very welcoming feel to it.

Just to the south of Myra Ridge you'll find South Ridge subdivision where new construction continues, though the oldest of the homes in this subdivision are about 15 years of age. A ride down South Myra Ridge Drive will take you through both neighborhoods.

Directly between the subdivisions sits South Ridge Park, an open green space encircled by a walking path and accessible to the general public.

As I mentioned, this southeast location in Urbana is growing in leaps and bounds. Across the street from these subdivisions you'll find a fairly new Carle Clinic and a Christie Clinic. Just around the corner at the intersection of Philo and Windsor Roads there's a Meijer store, Busey Bank, and a Monical's Pizza. Or you can continue down Philo Road to find additional grocery stores, restaurants and more local businesses. If you head to the east instead down Windsor Rd., Stone Creek Golf Club is only minutes away and open to the public. Everything you need is just a few blocks away from Myra Ridge and South Ridge subdivisions.

In general, homes in these neighborhoods are quite affordable. Most homes in Myra Ridge are ranch-style homes and priced around $120,000 - $180,000. The newer homes in South Ridge are often ranch style or a 2-story traditional and generally are priced between $150,000 - $220,000.
