Spreading Your Positive Attitude Can Outweigh the Facts

In real estate today, as in life, it is easy to be negative. Facts make it easy, too. Recent foreclosure news from Realtrac still shows that Nevada, Arizona, California, and Florida, states where speculation took housing prices to insane levels, lead the nation in foreclosures. Also on the list are states like Michigan, Ohio, Illinois, and Oregon where high unemployment has been a factor. Can we change the facts or minimize or erase the news? Nope. Regardless of circumstances, no one in Nevada or Oregon wants to hear "It's not that bad" when they have lost their home.

On the other hand, there's many positive things happening in real estate.

  1. The market is adjusting itself. Hopefully, we will soon see a day when an affordable home, in line with wage rates in the area, is the norm.
  2. Until that happens, there is great stock of homes out there that offer buyers unique opportunities.
  3. While sellers might not realize as much as they hoped for on their current home, they will cash in on the buyers' bonanza when they replace their home.
  4. Agents have a great opportunity these days to reach out to distressed buyers to work out short sales or find other creative ways to help them.

Imagine the impact if every real estate agent would pass along just a few positive things about the real estate market today and the opportunities it offers to at least four friends! Try it! Ask your four friends to spread it to four more of theirs and perhaps respond back with some positive views of their own! The positive energy generated explodes! A positive attitude can empower your life!
