I've started this blog to help the people who live and love in Lawrence County better understand the trends of our local market and the in's and out's of buying and selling.
I'm going to show you how national events have impacted our local market. Haven't you been wondering if your house has lost value since you signed on the dotted line? You should be. A person's home is usually their biggest asset. The real estate decisions that you do and do not make can have a significant impact on your future and your financial well-being. Wouldn't you hate to sell your house and take a loss.... on the threshhold of an upswing in prices? Wouldn't you like to know if you could qualify for a mortgage or for federal tax credit?
I know there's a lot of mystery and skepticism around short sales, sheriff sales, tax sales and auctions so I'll keep it sweet and simple, and try to open new doors for you in your home search. I'll tell you what to do and not to do if you're trying to go it alone and sell your property by owner, and about all the ways that good real estate agents earn their keep and provide incredibly valuable service to their clients.
And lastly, I'll keep it light and fun... and maybe throw in a bit of humor when I can drum it up.
Come back often to check for updates, or enter your email address to be notified when there's a new post. I'd be delighted to have your feedback so please leave comments.
And of course, you can call or email me any time to talk about buying or selling. I'd be thrilled to help.
