It's Thanksgiving Eve and I can already smell my Dad's turkey and my Step Mom's Deviled Eggs. Oooh yeah... Every year they do it up BIG for all of us to come over and have a lot of food and a lot of fun. I am thankful for all the effort they go through every year to make it a great time for all of us. It got me thinking about all the things I am thankful for.

My wife and my son. They are my two favorite people in the whole world and I am so lucky and thankful to have them!

I'm thankful for my HUGE family and all the support and love I get from them (especially my mother in law Deb), my Broker Mary and all the love and support (and the swift kick in the pants when I need it) she gives me, my buddy Brian who is always there to listen to me vent and give me support, other agents in my office like Alisha who is always there to share a laugh and give support, and our Closing Coordinator/great friend Mona, who is like a "mom" at the office, even though she isn't NEARLY old enough to be my mom. :)

I'm thankful that I am living the dream of being a full time Realtor and absolutely loving what I do. How many people can say that? I am thankful for the internet, for Active Rain, for Facebook, for my friend Barb Szabo who has taught me more than she will EVER know, and for SEO BABY!!

I sound like I just won an award don't I? Hopefully Kanye won't just up and interrupt me.

I have only had my license since January of 2009 but my wife Amanda has been licensed for 2 years now. I remember last year during the winter she was VERY slow. Of course it had to do with the holidays, but it was also a record breaking winter for FREEZING weather and we had a giant ICE STORM. I didn't even want to go outside to get the paper so I couldn't imagine Buyers wanting to look at houses in that kind of weather.

We have seen a little bit of a slow down in November, but in the last week we have picked up a few new Buyers and had a few of our existing Buyers call us and say that they are ready to go NOW.

I believe the tax credit will keep the Fort Wayne Real Estate Market hopping through the winter. I am hoping to see more of this:

This home has been on the market for 345 days, is OVER PRICED by $20,000, has two walls caving in, is in a flood zone, and has a graveyard just beyond the back yard.
