My Favorite Things about 420 Comanche Holton KS Homes for Sale

Some of my favorite things about this Holton KS Homes for sale below are I like hearing the church bells ring every day and play songs at noon. I love having a fenced yard because it means my children won't run into the alley or wander away when they are outside playing. I love how I can see all the living areas from the kitchen so I can see what everyone is doing while I'm working in the kitchen. I love the huge basement where I can store all of my things and nobody else will see them. I love having an extra family room where we can live that is hidden from the front door, so that when people walk into the home, they won't see all of our living clutter. I love our neighbors, they shovel our driveway for us when we can't and they regularly visit with us when we are playing in the backyard. I love sitting on the deck and watching my kids play in the backyard. I love the huge walk-in closet in the downstairs bedroom, and I love having two sinks in the bathroom. I love having the washer and dryer upstairs so I don't have to carry laundry up the stairs all the time and I love the large windows that let me see outside.

Holton KS Restaurants and Holton KS Homes for Sale 420 Comanche

Holton, KS has some very nice restaurants. There is a Buzzard's Pizza Place on the square downtown that has a great Hawaiian Pizza, a Trail's Cafe which has a salad bar and nice steaks, the Holton House which is a great place to get a nice fried chicken dinner, Boomer's Grill where you can go for a fun date night, and S & A's cafe where you can't beat their breakfast and large $1 cinnamon rolls. There are also some great chain restaurants like Pizza Hut, Dairy Queen, Taco Bell, Subway, Casey's, and Burger King. It is hard to decide where my favorite place to eat is in Holton, KS. I like to go to Buzzard's before a football game, Trail's on a Sunday afternoon, Boomer's for date night, and Taco Bell when I don't feel like cooking supper.

Farmland demand hits record high as listings drop to historic low - this sums up the current market through most of the Midwest and Great Plains for high quality farmland, although projections and prices mentioned for Kansas are extremely high and most likely individual cases. Farmland in Kansas is holding steady with good increases but don't look for Kansas to be matching Iowa farmland prices anytime soon. Pasture land is not holding ground on values and prices are slipping especially if beef market slows.

My Son's Adventures in Buying a Home, Holton KS Homes for Sale 420 Comanche Dr

My son just put his house on the market this past week. He lives in Holton, KS with his family and is looking for a home in Lawrence, KS. Right away a nice foreclosure came on the market just six houses away from my own in Lawrence, KS. What a great deal, right next to Grandma and Grandpa's house. They hadn't sold their house yet, so they weren't quite ready to look at other houses and they weren't very hopeful about it at first because it didn't seem very nice from the pictures online. They decided to come look anyway because it was such a great deal and was sure to sell quickly. After they looked at it, the home had a very steep driveway and a very small kitchen. Also, their was a huge fireplace right in the middle of the family room (not next to a wall). They loved the views, the backyard, the large windows, the bedrooms and the upstairs laundry room, and of course; they loved the price and the location. That night they wrote up a contract for the home and decided to see if they could fix the driveway by building a garage lower than the home, so it would be less steep. My son spent the entire day Saturday trying to get pre-approved for a loan when he already had a mortgage on his house. He was very close to the numbers they needed to get, but had to finagle and provide some more proof of his income before the numbers would add up correctly. Finally, by Saturday night, he was pre-approved and ready to send an offer to the bank that foreclosed on the house, but it was too late for anyone to be there anyway so he waited. The next day, they decided to visit the home again and this time, they took my son's wife's dad. He knows a little more about construction and building homes than my son and his wife. He gave them a good idea about how much it would cost to fix the driveway, also they discovered that Lawrence had codes about how far you can build next to the curb (25-30 ft). They also noticed that the ceiling were all tinted orange-brown and this was because of the nails from the roof rusting and dripping onto the ceiling, and finally they noticed that there were several holes on the outside of the home from a woodpecker. It was in a little rougher shape than they originally thought. They decided that even though it was so close to grandma and grandpa's house, the cost of the repairs that they couldn't live there without doing was too much for how much they wanted to spend on the home.
