Leavenworth KS Community Info: Havens Park

I decided to take a look at my local communities website today and I ran across an article on Havens Park and their plans for a master develpoment in the Park. What a great idea. This park is absolutely beautiful and not very many people know about it. Heck I can admit I didnt even know it existed until about a year ago. I was bored driving around with my husband, he knew about the park and wanted to show me. As we entered the park a car came screaching out, weird I thought. As we got to the very back of the park a beautiful black dog sat there by herself, scared and alone. We figured they just dropped her and left. After about 20 minutes of trying to call her, my husband went out and reached down to pet her. She rolled over and wanted her belly rubbed. How cute I told him, we cant let her stay here. She doesnt have a collar and Im sure those jerks left her. Well we had to take her somewhere, so we started calling all of our family members asking if they wanted a beautiful black dog. Of course everyone said no....except for my daddy! On the way to his house we decided we had to name her. HAVEN, what a perfect name. Of course we watched the papers and no one ever came forth. Well guess what, a few months later, our suspicions were confirmed, 8 cute little puppies entered the world. So thank you, you worthless person that dropped off such a wonderful loving animal. Glad I learned about the park that day!
