10416 W 63rd Tr. Shawnee, KS Renovation Video

Justin Ukaoma : Kansas City Real Estate Investments: Real Estate Agent in Kansas City, MO

10416 W 63rd Tr is the first house Vizion has done in Shawnee, KS and is only the second house we’ve done in Johnson County. This house needed a lot of work to become a Vizion home but once again our crews made it happen.

I really love how this house is so attractive even from the outside. Converting the additional living space into a garage was a great move it really brings this house up to par with the rest of the neighborhood. Our crews also gave this a house a brand new roof and a deck. We used the same solid surface granite and high grade carpet that we used on 14500 Craig in Grandview. These features alone are a rarity in this price range. Welcome home.

On average we buy two houses a week. But in order to buy that many we have to look at over 30 houses each day. I wish I had a video camera to show you what it’s like. Words don’t describe the experience. I do my best to capture what I can on Twitter.

Progress On Project Shawnee

Our renovation in Shawnee, KS is in its final week. Since the crews were not working today I figured it would be safe to run and grab a few pictures of their progress. This job is being completed by one of our sub-crews from the looks of things we will definitely be using these guys again.

The new garage door has been installed. When we purchased this house the garage had been converted into living space. We felt that a garage was more important than additional living space.

This sidewalk is new. I didn’t expect us to replace the sidewalk we almost never do. I guess I’ve been looking at too may houses cause I don’t remember the sidewalk being in that bad of shape.

The bathroom is about a day away from being done. When we bought this house it only had a shower. The tub is an excellent addition.

Kitchen cabinets and back splash have been installed. Most of the solid surface granite has also been installed. It looks like this house will have a gas stove which is rare for our renovations. This is the first time we’ve used this type of back splash. Each of the square rocks is very unique they looked like they were hand picked by @mightwaldo.

As you may or may not know one of my passions is health insurance. There is no reason that anyone should take the risk of not having coverage. There are so many options available, at reasonable costs.

One of the many reasons health insurance costs have continued to climb is due to the rising health issues of many Americans. The number one health crisis facing Americans is being overweight. Over the past few decades the number of overweight adults has nearly tripled.

As part of my New Year's Resolution both my husband and I have committed ourselves to joining Shawnee Fitness Club, and working out a minimum of 4 times a week. So if you are ever up at Shawnee Fitness Club in the morning about 7:30ish odds are you will run into me or my husband.

Not up to joining a gym yet? You're not alone. You can start simple.

Frequently asked questions about life insurance

Who needs life insurance?

If someone depends on you, you probably need life insurance. If you were to die today, life insurance would provide cash to your dependents that can help meet everyday living expenses, pay down the mortgage, finance longer-term goals like education and retirement, and generally maintain their quality of life.

Where do I begin?

Start by evaluating your family's needs. Gather all your personal financial information and estimate what your family members would need to meet current and future financial obligations and maintain their quality of life if you were gone. Include ongoing expenses (such as day care, tuition, continuation of a business or retirement), and immediate expenses at the time of death (such as debts, medical bills, burial costs and estate taxes.)

How much life insurance do I need?

While there is no substitute for evaluating one's needs with the aid of an insurance and financial adviser, one rule of thumb is to buy life insurance equal to five to ten times your annual gross income. To get a sense of how much coverage you need, you can visit the Insurance Needs Calculator at Nick Reed Agency.

What are the different types of life insurance?

There are many kinds of life insurance, but they generally fall into two categories; term insurance and permanent insurance. Term insurance provides protection for a specific period of time (the "term") and pays a benefit if you die during the term. A permanent insurance plan provides lifelong protection. As long as you pay the premiums, and no loans, withdrawals or surrenders are taken, the full face amount will be paid.
