Accorging to the Google Blog, Military members who have .mil email account can now sign up for Google Voice to help them stay in touch with friends and family. It's a simple process to sign up for the new Google Voice account.

As of August 4, 2009 Active U.S. service member can sign up for a Google Voice account at www.google.com/militaryinvite and start using the free service within a day.

This is a great opportunity for our military to be able to better communicate with friends and family around the world.

Today was a great memorial day for many Ft Campbell families as soldiers from the 101st DSTB Division arrived back home today. What a way to make Memorial Day a little emotional on a good note. I want to say WELCOME HOME to these soldiers and THANK YOU for your service and hard work.

Today I stopped to visit The Vietnam Memorial Traveling Wall. The wall is currently in Oak Grove, Kentucky at the Veterans Park. The Memorial Wall will remain here all weekend. The display is open around the clock for anyone to visit until 8:00 AM on Tuesday. The official opening ceremony will be held on Friday May 22, 2009 at 10:00 AM

The wall was last in the Clarksville, TN area 3 years ago. I missed the wall during that trip. If you have never had the opportunity to see the traveling wall, be sure to drive just across the Kentucky State line and see the wall for yourself.

Welcome to the Oak Grove War Memorial Walking Trail

Located just off Ft Campbell Blvd on Walter Garret Lane, the walking trail is a 1 mile trail taking stroll through time around the Viceroy Performing Arts Center. This is Oak Grove's Amphitheater.

This is a great place to have a family picnic, sit and enjoy the nature or even let the kids play on the playground. As you walk around the trail, there are a series of markers that show the each of the US Wars and conflict that involves each branch of our military.

The old school house is the newest addtion to the site. The school house in in the process of being restored and should be another piece of history to the property as well.
