This monument is located at the Oak Grove Tourism Commission's War Memorial Walking Trail Park on Walter Garret Rd in Oak Grove Kentucky. The walking trail is 1 mile long and goes around the Viceroy Performing Arts Center. Along the trail are markers representing the different wars and conflicts our military has been in around the world. I hope you enjoy this one as much as I did.

Now, while I have been very critical of Washington's direction in respect to the stimulous and the various bailouts, this is a huge win for our Soldiers, Veterans and their Families. I don't know how this can be construed as stimulous, but I certainly will not complain about money well spent on those who have sacrificed so much so that I, like you have the opportunity to voice our opinions - walk down the street without fear - and lay our head down at night without worrying if we will wake in the morning.
The Senate's economic stimulus package mirrored the House version in that it includes funding for military and Veterans Affairs construction projects. $2.4 billion in military construction funding includes:
VA construction funding ($3.7 billion) includes:
Just a fraction of the debt we as Americans owe to our Heros. Credit to our elected leaders for getting this part right.

Yesteday, while on Floor Duty at the Sango Crye-Leike office, I received a call from a young Soldier who had just arrived to Fort Campbell. He was needing assistance to get his household goods (HHG) delivered. He had found an apartment, but could did not know where to go or who to call in order to get his Family's HHGs delivered.
That said, I thought I would post some information for the Soldiers and their Families who are coming in.
