Who said "There is nothing to do in Owensboro"? I picked up the paper this morning and read our local students are providing FREE Holiday concerts. You can find all the details in today's Messenger & Inquirer, December 8th.
Here's the schedule for the performances as noted in today's Messenger:
Tuesday December 9th at 7 p.m. Owensboro High School's band, chorus, drama and orchestra students will provide a variety of holiday music as well as selections from "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever" presented by Rose Curtain Players. ENCORE will present "Christmas on Broadway." The program concludes with "The Hallelujah Chorus" from "The Messiah."
Wednesday December 10 at 7 p.m. Owensboro Middle School band, chorus and orchestra students will provide a variety of holiday music. The Rose Curtain Players are also performing.
Thursday December 11 at 7 p.m. Owensboro 5-6 Center band, chorus and orchestra students will present a program, and the Rose Curtain Players will perform. The Grand finale number is " 'Twas the Night Before Christmas."
Thursday December 11 at 7 p.m. Thursday -- Daviess County High School's Performing Arts Academy will feature the choir, orchestra and band in concert in the DCHS auditorium at 4255 New Hartford Road.
Monday December 15 at 7 p.m. -- Daviess County High School's Performing Arts Academy again will feature the choir, orchestra and band in concert at Settle Memorial United Methodist Church, 201 E. Fourth St.
So see, there is plenty to do.
Merry Christmas
