HOW CAN THIS BE?

The best place to buy a home priced between $100,000 and $119,999 in Central Kentucky is not Lexington. No, it is Woodford County. Versailles is the County Seat and it is also the home to some of the largest and most prestigious horse farms. Some of these farms include:
Winstar Farm, Three Chimneys Farm, Fallbrook Farm, Brittany Farm and Sunrise Stable are a few of these prestigious Thoroughbred Horse Farms in Woodford County.

There are currently 12 months of inventory for homes that are priced between $100,00 and $119,999 in Woodford County. Most of these homes can be bought with little money down and a payment that would be less than what you could rent the same home.

I am told that when interest rates rise one percent that raises your mortgage payment 11 percent. Buy your Woodford County home RIGHT NOW and don't worry about interest rates in the future!

As I pondered where to go yesterday I thought it's such a nice day to be outside to enjoy this fall weather. Heading west on I-64, I spent yesterday wandering the streets of Midway KY to enjoy their fall festival. Here are a few of the views on the town.

*My Down Home Fall Festival Photos In Midway KY*

Midway Fall Festival in Midway KY is the place to be in September.

This historic [lace hosts this event in the heart of the downtown Midway KY. It's such a perfect time to get out and enjoy a small town Fall festival. There are so many good buys to be had with art vendors, jewelry makers and even wineries have booths to do tastings. Something for everyone here.

As you can see from this picture there is a train track that runs right down the middle of Main Street. The train from RJ Corman made it's apearance for my picture last year. In Midway KY everyone stops what they are doing to point and to see!

At the Midway Fall Festival there will be vendors seling jewelry, crafts, pottery, antiques and more. Be sure to bring your checkbook or cash. I made that mistake last year when I was only carrying my Visa card. Most vendors don't take plastic.

I can't believe a whole year has passed since I attended the fabulous Midway Fall Festival. This picture is of an artist that sculpts beautiful historic figures in sand.

*Midway Fall Festival Is A Blast! Midway KY*

Midway KY Is A Point Midway Between Lexington And Frankfort KY

Last Thursday I got to re-visit Midway KY. It hadn't been in the plan earlier in the week but I received a voicemail from someone that was researching to do a real estate article on Midway. I think they had read what I wrote earlier posted on Localism. Midway, Kentucky is a Tourist's Secret! Shhhhhhhh!

Anyway, I was asked to contribute some quotes and a few pictures. I sure didn't need much of a reason to want to go back. That place is magical!

So...I asked one of my best friends to accompany me for the day and we loaded up the camera and notepad and we were off. We laughingly called ourselves, "Blonde Roving Reporters"!!

We first drove around town to get a better idea of what kind of what was available in housing and the types of architecture. Mostly historic I found. There was plenty of restoration going on.

After I took a few pictures we wondered into City Hall (A former bank built in the 1860's). to ask a few questions, I took some notes, then we decided to relax a bit across the street at the Cafe @ Le Marche. By that time we were starving and the club sandwiches the owner rustled up for us were fantastic.

As soon as we were back on the street a train came up right on the track in front of us. How exciting to be up close and see a different kind of train on the track. I took a few quick pics of it before it scurried on down the line.

As many times as I have been in Midway KY, this was the first time I had experienced a train on the Main Street. Maybe it's just me, but I thought it was way cool! You could sit outside at one of the cafes and have dinner, glass of vino and a train all at once! Wow!

We wondered on down the street to visit a few shops, enjoy the sunshine, talk to friendly locals and get a few extra pics like these...

Well, I'm sure we will be back again soon. We had a blast!

It's a great place to unwind and kick your feet up for a spell. You need to go see this for yourself. Tell them I sent you!
