Forest Springs (along with Forest Springs North) is a great neighborhood in Louisville's east end off LaGrange Road just outside of the Gene Snyder Expressway, near Rock Springs, Woodmont and Fox Run. For my first post, I thought I would tell you how I met the other half of the Ford/Weber Team. It was 1996 and Carol and I found ourselves, along with another woman whose name I can't remember, in a stuffy little room located off the cafeteria at Crosby Middle School. We had never met, but had both volunteered to make cotton candy for a fundraiser for our daughters' cheerleading squad.

It started out simple enough. Someone showed the three of us how to operate the machine that made the cotton candy and then sadly left us on our own. After about an hour the other woman deserted us and left us to continue on with our first "Lucy and Ethel" adventure. After two hours we were both covered with cotton candy. After three hours the room (including the ceiling) was entirely covered with cotton candy.

By the time someone came to check on us all they could do was laugh and get someone to take our picture, which was featured in the yearbook. We may have made a mess but we got the job done and now 12 years later we are still getting the job done.

It truly was the beginning of a life-long partnership and friendship.

Wanted to give you an Update on Forest Springs homes for sale. As of this morning, there are 29 homes on the market in Forest Springs and Forest Springs North. Prices are going from $239,900 up to about $370,000.

Along with the fine homes in Forest Springs it also has many amenities to offer as well. as a homeowner in Forest Springs you have the opportunity to join the Forest Springs Swim and Racquet Club that has a pool, clubhouse, tennis courts. There is an initiation fee of $100 and the annual dues for the optional membership in the club are around $400.
