Trying to find Ruston Retail Space? It can be challenging to find the perfect location considering the recent commercial real estate boom in Ruston LA. With Interstate 20 running right through the heart of the city, the first question that needs to be answered is does your business need to be on the Interstate. Property along Interstate 20 is generally more expensive, but it also comes with alot more exposure and traffic counts. Recently, the city of Ruston converted two of the most utilized service roads to one-way traffic and has plans to convert the remaining service roads in the future. The conversion has had a positive effect on traffic flow in the area, but can be challenging to retailers looking for the perfect location.
The two highest traffic counts in Ruston LA merge right in the heart of the city at Interstate 20 and Highway 167. Not surprisingly, the core of Ruston Retail Space is located in the surrounding area. Major retailers nearby include Walmart, Super 1 Foods, Lowes and the multi-tenant Ruston Shopping Center. Two shadow centers located near Walmart and one shadow center at Super 1 Foods all combine to make this area the epicenter of Ruston Retail Space. Other notable developments are located at the intersection of E. Kentucky Avenue and Farmerville Highway, along Tech Drive near Interstate 20, California Street, and downtown Ruston.
Whether your looking at for sale or for lease properties, the search for the right commercial building will take time. Ruston has a population of approximately 30,000 (not including Louisiana Tech Uniersity) and has experienced a tremendous amount of commercial real estate expansion over the last several years. A handful of new retail developments are in the works and should provide additional Ruston Retail Space in the near future.
We have assisted a broad range of retailers in finding their next location and if you are considering Ruston Retail Space for your next business venture, please contact Ryan Roark 318-348-5815.

Ryan Roark recently completed a lease with a Fortune 500 insurance firm valued at over $550,000 in Ruston, LA.
Historically, most office users in Ruston have located on the South side of the Interstate where the majority of commercial buildings are located. Several new Ruston office lease spaces have been built recently on the North side of town including Kentucky Plaza on E. Kentucky Avenue and Northpointe Office Park on Farmerville Highway. These buildings are filling up fast which would generally indicate strong demand and the possibility of similar developments in the future.
Ruston has experienced strong commercial real estate growth over the last several years and has outpaced the region as a whole. Restaurant and retail growth have exceeded office growth, but that could change at anytime. Louisiana Tech's Enterprise Center has been very successful as an incubation facility for new small businesses and they have more plans to come. The university has planned a 20-25 acre research park and has already raised $25 Million toward its completion. Tech Pointe will be the first multi-tenant building on the new Enterprise Campus. Scheduled for completion later this year, Tech Pointe is a 3-story building that will encompass 42,000 square feet of space and will be the most recent addition to Ruston office lease space.
Several tracts of development land along Interstate 20 may end up containing an office component. While these tracks are primarily suited for retail, all of them will cater to a variety of uses and it is expected some additional office space will become available in the near future.
If you are looking for Ruston office lease space and have questions or your having difficulty finding what your looking for, contact Ryan Roark at 318-348-5815.
