Crystal Lakes, a great new development in Denham Springs, LA. Curbs, sidewalks, and gutters, 200+ lots, pool, walking trails, lots of green areas, five springs fed lakes, highly restricted, custom homes only. There is a section for high end garden homes (1500+ LA)for the empty nesters, The Estates, which is surrounded by water, (2500+ LA) and everything in between. Almost all of the lots have water frontage. The location is exceptional, just across the street from North Park, within a block of the proposed Juban extension. Baton Rouge and I12 are just minutes away.
Sounds great doesn't it? And I think it will be. This is a great development by Spaht's Development, a lot of money, time and effort has gone into it. Unfortunately, it has sat on the corner of Lockhart Road and Burgess Lane for 2 years. People pass it by without seeing it any more. Unbeknown to the developer, the final plans and plat had never been submitted for approval by the Parish. No lots or homes could be sold!
Prudential Gardner Realtors have taken over the marketing and we've worked hard to get Crystal Lakes up and running. In the last 2 months, the plans have been approved, electricity has been installed and connected, all road work and entrances have been completed. We are NOW ready to sell. We need families!
Initially, homes were to be built and sold by the developer. Now, lots are being sold to individuals, builders and investors and all plans must be approved. Five custom homes have been built, all gorgeous, from 1500+ LA to 3200+ LA. The home and lot prices have been reduced and we are ready to go. We are ready to sell lots to anyone that wants a home in what is going to be the most sought after neighborhood in Livingston parish, and prices will be low until the first of the year.
Now we'll be able to say...Crystal Lakes, what a great neighborhood!

I have lived in Livinston Parish for the last 25 years. Who would have thought? Growing up in Baton Rouge, just across the Amite river from Livingston Parish, this was just a place to go and buy legal fireworks for holiday's. Nobody wanted to live there. Mostly a rural parish, land stayed in the family and was handed down from generation to generation. Most people worked and played in Baton Rouge.
My, how things have changed! Now everyone wants to live here. Livingston Parish is now one of the fastest growing parishes in Louisiana. Even now, Livingston Parish has not gone through the real estate slump the rest of the country has.
Why?
We have a great school system, one of the best in the state.
Real Estate. Lots of new and established neighborhood and condos, or you can still find a home with acreage and have a horse or two. Property values continue to go up, making real estate a good investment.
20 minutes from downtown Baton Rouge.
20 minutes from Hammond.
Near 3 great universities, SLU, LSU,and Southern.
Friendly people. People here are down to earth and sociable, you even get to know your neighbors.
Parks and recreation. North Park is building a WATER PARK, workout facility, and already has a fishing pond! The kids have many sports facilities and opportunities. I even coached my daughters softball teams!
Bass Pro Shop, located in Denham Springs at HWY 16 and I12.
Good restaurants, we even have nightlife!
Golf course at Greystone.
Proposed new YMCA, hopefully coming soon.
Proposed Our Lady of the Lake Medical Complex in Walker.
There are many reasons to live here. The pace just seems slower and life seems sweeter for some reason.
As a single mom, it was a great place to raise my 2 daughters. They were involved in church and school activities and most of their friends they've known since kindergarten. Now they are raising my grandchildren here in Livingston Parish! How lucky am I?
