What do the above two have in common now you ask? Well how's about NFL commissioner Roger Goodell wanting to either penalize or reward successful teams to play or not play their starters in games that don't mean anything any longer? It seems now not only is the government out to punish the achievers of the country so is the NFL. Ask my New Orleans Saints who lost the starting DE Charles Grant Sunday for the playoffs with a triceps injury. Ask the New England Patriots who lost WR Wes Welker for the playoffs with a knee injury in a nothing game.
My friends it's time to reward the achievers not make them pay for the bad. Maybe then more will want to succeed.
Here is a local New Orleans new station (WWLTV) sport anchor Jim Henderson's commentary on the commissioners ideas. WWLTV Commentary.
