Fabulous Find in the Heart of Moss Bluff

As a Lake Charles Real Estate Agent, I frequently find myself showing property in Moss Bluff. Moss Bluff is a community located about 10 miles North of Lake Charles.

I have been passing a new Mexican restaurant on Sam Houston Jones Parkway on my recent trips to Moss Bluff. Today I finally had time for a lunch break at 3:30pm (thats the life of a Realtor for you!) I stopped at Tres Mexicanos and decided this new restaurant is too good not to share it with others.

It's true what they say about the best things come in small packages---Tres Mexicanos may be small but what's cooking inside is much bigger and better!

The local owner, Jana Duque took my order which was the special of the day "Guaraches" and turned around and gave the order to the kitchen cooks in Spanish! Yep they are authentic alright. Jana told me that her husband Zenaido is from Mexico and showed me pictures of where they lived posted on the wall.

Tres Mexicanos offers most of the traditional Mexican cuisine customers may be looking for including Quesadillas, Tamales, Tacos, Fajitas, and chips and dip of course. Call in orders are welcome 337 905-8737. Customers who wish to dine in are also allowed to bring their own alcohol beverages to enjoy.

The special of the day that I ordered (Guaraches) is similar to a Carnita. The shredded pork came on top of a homemade thick corn tortilla that reminded me of a tamale and was topped with lettuce tomatoes, sour cream and cheese. This dish was excellent and I could not eat it all and had to get a to-go box. I also did not leave without chips, salsa and queso dip! Upon sampling that at home I found the salsa to be uniquely spicy and that made a good snack for later!
