About Boston's Orient Heights

My Real Estate Associate "Maura Bang of Century 21 Mario"will be sadly missed.

Maria Salvaggio MA North Shore REAL ESTATE: Real Estate Agent in Lynnfield, MA

It has come to my attention today that a REALTOR I just had a closing with in March was found unconcious outside her open house in July. She later passed away at the hospital.

BANG, Maura A. (Carney) In Winthrop, formerly of Croton, NY, suddenly July 24, 2011. Beloved wife of Peter V. Bang. Mother of Christopher V. and Melissa Bang, both of Winthrop.

I just wanted to share my expierence with you that I had with this wonderful agent. I had been working with my client for the past 2 years who was looking for a multi-family in the East Boston Ma area. All the cridencials of this Bennington Street home matched him. The listing agent was Maura Bang from Century 21 Mario located in East Boston Ma.

We submitted an offer knowing that the home would not qualify for an FHA loan. I worked with my client to get him a loan with a soft second. Everything worked out until Bank of America sent there appraiser out to do there appraisal.

The appraisal came back at 265K and our offer was for 310K. We were 45K apart. Maura Bang knowing her area was right ontop of this. Disputting the appraisal on her client behalf. My client the buyer was all excited to be getting a home for 45K less than his offer how can the home owner say it is worth more if a experienced appraiser said it was not worth the asking price.

Maura did what I may not of thought of she went around the area with her boss Mario of Century 21 Mario and took photos of the most recent sales selling price and interior photos and submitted them to Bank of America.

I was also in disagreeance when I saw the appraisal.I am from the East Boton area originally and have a family Salon just accross the street from Maura's listing. The homes that were compaired weren't even in the same area. Totally different sections of East Boston like Jeffery's Point, Maverick, and close to the Chealsea area. This home was in Orient Heights, Needless to say she convinced the bank there appraisal was wong and fought hard to have a new one done bysomeone with more expeienced.

I had a hard time explaining to my buyer that the bank was wrong and I know I worked for him but I agree the appraiser was inexperienced and was submitting it as an FHA loan instead of a Soft Second.

After a few months of going back and fourth Maura got the apprasial she knew the home deserved and I had a lot of explaining to do to my buyer. But I did my job and made him understand. We closed in March and everyone walked away happy.

I am disappointed I never got a chance to say THANK YOU MAURA for an outstanding job. I hope she knows how much I learned from her and how greatful I am to have meet a wonderful REALTOR like her.

May you rest in peace my Real Estate Friend. God bless your family.
