Cambridge Somerville MA Real Estate For Sale - 2 Bed Condos Walkable to Porter Square MBTA

Below are my choices for the top 2 bedroom condos currently for sale that are walking distance to the Porter Square T station on the MBTA's Red Line. Located on the borders of both Cambridge and Somerville, Porter Sq. is a vibrant area with lots of interesting shopping, dinning, bars and nightlife. Inhabited by a large student and professional population, Porter Square should be on the radar of every buyer looking to be near Harvard, MIT, Lesley, or Tufts as well as those who prefer an easy commute into Downtown Boston or Cambridge's bio-tech heavy Kendall Square and Technology Square. Prices in this area will run generally in the $450/sq.ft. area, but some of the best values can be found in the up-and-coming area of North Cambridge, much of which is close to the Porter Square T. Below are what I consider to be the top ten one bedroom condos that are walking distance to the Porter Square Red Line MBTA subway station.  A fabulous location that encompasses parts of both Cambridge and Somerville including Neighborhoods 9 and 10, Spring Hill, North Cambridge, Avon Hill, and parts of Harvard Square.  Local schools include both Lesley University and Harvard Law School.  Porter Square is a vibrant neighborhood with fantastic shopping and dining - everything you could want within an easy walk!  Both Cambridge and Somerville offer residential tax exemptions for primary residence owner-occupied properties.  Proximity to public transportation, such as the Porter MBTA subway is something almost every buyer desires and it adds a great resale aspect to units like these!  I recently showed 22 Cutter, Somerville, unit 3, to a buyer and the one bed layout, although slightly unusual as it is a converted attic space, has a lot of character and charm, and the renovations and finishes are top notch. The location would have you into both Porter and Davis Squares with ease, giving you easy access to the Red Line MBTA. I do not expect this property last long at this price point.
