Best Place to have Dinner and Cocktails in Cataumet Massachusetts

This weekend I was on Cape Cod in Pocasset; it is a very special place that is not talked about. It is located just over the Bourne Bridge, so that you don't have to get caught up in the Cape Cod traffic. Pocasset is situated on the bayside so the ocean water is very calm. There are many quaint cottages scattered about which catch the best views of Basset's Island.

I was visiting friends and they took me to the Chart Room Restaurant in Cataumet which is 2 minutes away from where I was staying. The Chart Room is attached to Kingsman Marina which provides a summer place for power-boaters and sailboaters alike. Even if you don't rent or own a slip, or mooring, boaters are still welcome to dock their boats and come up for lunch or dinner. What I love about this place is how it captures summer and what summer is all about. The first thing you see is people outside relaxing, socializing, and taking in the views while sitting in Adirondack chairs. For people who come by land, you can walk on the dock and have the most gorgeous views of the water, and at night enjoy the brilliant stars and the homes that are lit up in the cove. It is always busy with conversation and people well relaxed and having a fun time.

The Chart Room in Cataumet offers some of the BEST lobster rolls on the Cape and the perfect place anytime for cocktails.
