The Valleywood neighborhood in Hopkinton has always been very popular. The wooded settings and nicely spaced homes allow for a neighborhood with a sense of privacy. The location in the western corner of town is ideal for commuters with it's quick access to I-495 and the MA Pike. The valleywood neighborhood consists of approximately 50 homes. there is a mix of mostly colonial and some contemporeary style homes. The homes were mostly built in the mid 1980's.

Valleywood Estates - Hopkinton Massachusetts

Nestled in a wonderfully wooded area on the western side of Route 495 is the neighborhood of Valleywood Estates, Hopkinton, Massachusetts. From this part of town, Elm Street and Pond Street lead directly to the beginning of this community at Erika Drive, to Valleywood, and to Tiffany Drive. Lyn Path and Circle Drive are also part of the neighborhood.

This subdivision was built between the years 1984 to 1989 by Ron Nation, a prominent Hopkinton Builder who also built the community of Ravenwood and is currently building luxury homes in Connelly Hill Estates.

This lovely neighborhood is abundant in trees and landscaping between the homes which provide a great deal of privacy to its residents.

The homes in Valleywood Estates are varied and include classic colonials, garrisons and saltboxes as well as a few contemporaries.

Each home in this community sits on a generous sized lot which is a minimum of 1.4 acres up to over 2 acres in size.

Many of the residences have been improved with granite counters, hardwood floors, and updated master suites. Additional features include cathedral ceiling family rooms, bonus rooms, finished basements and some in-ground pools.

There are spacious homes in this development ranging from 2400 square feet to over 3800 square feet in size, along with some beautifully landscaped lots and park-like settings.

From Valleywood Estates, it is short jaunt to the beauty and recreation of Whitehall State Park to enjoy boating and fishing in the summer months. The neighborhood also enjoys a convenient commuting location within a few miles from the entrance to Route 495 leading directly to the Mass Pike.

Valleywood Estates is a neighborhood on the West side of Hopkinton with approximately 51 homes. The neighborhood was developed in the early 1980's. The Streets in Valleywood include Ericka Drive, Valleywood Road, Tiffany Trail, Lynn Path, and Circle Drive.

Even though Valleywood is an older subdivision it is still one of Hopkinton's popular neighborhoods. Most of the homes that were built and Valleywood were constructed by Ron Nation of 20th Century Homes. Ron has built many homes in Hopkinton and is presently building in Springwood Estates.

The price range of the homes located in Valleywood as of October 2009 is about the mid $400's to the low $600's depending on the home and it's various features.

One of the reasons Valleywood Estates has remained popular is the fact that the floor plans in these homes work well on a day to day basis. There is one particular model where the family room is over the garage that is particularly sought after.

                                                                                                                                                      

The kitchens and family rooms in these Valleywood homes are both very large. Given the fact that these are the rooms most people use and enjoy the most, it is easy to see why this subdivision has remained attractive.

All of these Valleywood family rooms come with fireplaces and the vast majority of them have skylights and large palladium style feature windows. The kitchens extend almost the entire length of the back of the home! Most of the homes have four decent size bedrooms and 2.5 baths.

The lots in Vallewood are around 1.5 acres and are heavily wooded with mature landscape.

Valleywood is located only a few miles away from two Hopkinton lakes including Lake Maspenock for fishing, boating, and jet skiiing, as well as Lake Whitehall. The location is excellent for commuting as the 495 exits are only a mile away and the Mass Pike is the 1st exit.

There is a slight amount of traffic noise in the back end of the subdivision from 495 but nothing significant.

I have sold many homes in Valleywood over the years. It has always been a neighborhood that people enjoy living in.
