Provincetown MA -- The Journey Continues by NY Feng Shui Consultants

Walking down Commercial Street in Provincetown is an adventure. We stopped in some stores and spoke to many people there, almost all of which asked where we were from and what we did. We didn't realize that Feng Shui in Provincetown is SO popular it rivals New York. Some business owners asked for cards while others even asked if we had time to do Feng Shui Consultations while we were visiting.

Finally we arrived and stood outside for a moment. I haven't visited Provincetown in 10 years and memories came flooding back. This is the Dock behind Sal's is where my brother lived for a time; right on a Dock in a little Cottage. I remember visiting him there and thinking how much FUN that must be!

We saw this portrait of Jack, the owner of Sal's and Peter's very good friend. It was so sad to think that he had passed as well. Sometimes it seems to me that the very best people leave this Earth far too soon.

As soon as you enter Sal's Restaurant is where you'll find my brother picture. Almost as if he were there greeting you I felt it was such an HONOR to be acknowledged that way. We didn't stay long, it was time to head back to our room. We were eating at Café Edwige tomorrow morning and had thought of taking a tour the following day. We THOUGHT the adventures for the day were done.

Arriving back in Truro at our lovely Motel (Where we stayed in Room #9 : ) we had noticed a Butterfly Bush outside our door. When we pulled up, I noticed there were no Butterflies. One came from just behind me and landed on the Bush-so close I could touch it. In fact, I did.

Oprah asks at times "What do you know for SURE?" It's always a difficult question for me to answer. I know that Feng Shui WORKS. If I had any doubts before this trip which started with a Rainbow and ended with this Butterfly, I also know those that our love ones are never far.

I know that SIGNS are all around us if we pay attention. Signs that are so powerful they can heal us.

Feng Shui Consultants in Provincetown

Leaving early the next morning for Provincetown, we arrived on Cape Cod by noon. You can FEEL the difference almost as soon as you arrive on the last stretch of land to Provincetown; the air is different and people seem more relaxed and kinder.

My brother Peter was a "Traveler." He'd lived abroad for a while and had won a full scholarship to some of the best Art Schools in the Country. He'd decided to go to Pratt in New York and spent several years there. Still, when he wasn't in school, he traveled---and on his first visit to Provincetown he made some life changing decisions. I had no idea I would soon be making some life changing decisions myself.

He changed course to become a Chef and when he completed the course, he went up and landed a job at Sal's Restaurant on Commercial Street in Provincetown as their Seafood Chef. He loved his job and the people up there. Provincetown became his home.

We stopped along the way in Wellfleet, Truro and finally made our way to Provincetown. I was going to see an old friend of my brother's who owns a restaurant there named Café Edwige.

She was just locking the restaurant when we arrived and motioned that she was closed. Laura and I just waited until she opened the door. I saw her face go into shock after a minute and she let out a scream before hugging me. I couldn't have imagined a nicer reception!

We caught up for a while, talking and reminiscing. She told me that Jack, my brother's boss and very good friend had recently passed and I was so sorry to hear that. They'd become such good friends that my brother was Godfather to his son.

She invited Laura and I to her lovely restaurant the next morning which she had Feng Shui'd herself and done a beautiful job! It seems EVERYONE in Provincetown knows what Feng Shui is and many have used it or are seeking to incorporate it into their homes and businesses.

She also asked us to stop in the restaurant my brother had worked in. There was a picture in there, she said, of Peter and thought I should go see it. I wasn't sure whether I could but she urged me to go and Laura and I decided to head down to the other end of Commercial Street.........

r Motel and Cottages. They are right on a private beach and along the Shuttle route to Provincetown. I have to say after staying there I'd be back in a heartbeat, not only for the absolutely beautiful surroundings and accommodations but also because the people who ran it were WONDERFUL.

Your rooms had everything you could possibly need and you couldn't choose a better location. Just when I thought Customer Service had died, I met the lovely woman who runs this place. I'll be back next year-book early!

So here are the first of a few posts about New York Feng Shui Consultants in Cape Cod. As much as we love New York, the Cape is a wonderful place to go for fun, energy and a respite.

Commercial Street spans almost 4 miles and allows for parking, cars and LOTS of pedestrians. We noticed a complete absence of car honking. We walked from one end to the other and didn't hear it once. We did hear laughter, music and kindness in people's voices.

One thing I DID notice about Provincetown: People are friendly and often stopped to speak to Laura and I. When they asked what we did and we said Feng Shui, there was not one person who didn't know exactly what it was. In fact, many of them practiced it themselves!
