Not very encouraging numbers. The red arrows are not good - and so is a solitary blue arrow, indicating days on market has gone up!
Median price is down about 10%. The average price has gone down almost 7%, too. It's all the NOT SO good news! Days on market for these homes have gone up too - one more reason to have any concern about this market!
Overall, compared to last SEPTEMBER, it's a NOT SO great market - lot of improvement on number of sales, median price, and average price are needed to bounce back. This is what one should worry about - as of last month, the market was great, Is that the impact? If so, I think it's okay. Let's look forward to a great month next month!

After a major drop in inventory and median before spring, there are many homes for sale in READING, MA. The median price has been down till spring and is going up since then. The median price is still going up indicating that there is stiill a demand for homes in this town. High inventory offsets the higher median price and it started showing slight decline in late summer. Let's hope there are more sales here - and little more stability. This is very apparent because number of days on market has jumped up from 45 to 58! I hope we get more balanced market for the rest of the year.

The number of sales are up - more than doubled in August 2011 as compared to August 2010! Wow! Median price is up about 12%. The average price has gone up almost 5%, too. It's all the good news! Days on market for these homes have gone up too - the only reason to have any concern about this market!
