Summer Art Camp for Kids Walpole MA
I know, I know. Snow in the forecast for today and tomorrow and I am blogging about summer, but this is the time of year to start thinking ahead about what the kids are going to do in the off time for summer vacation!
Here is an idea Art Camp!
Everyone loves to create and this is a great opportunity for your kids, heck, or maybe you too!
Rosemarie Morelli Crocker, art teacher extraordinaire is offering her summer art classes and they are filling up fast. I can vouch first hand that Rosemarie is an excellent teacher. For a couple of different reasons. Last summer my nieces took classes from her. They loved them. They learned a lot and produced some amazing pieces of art no less!

| My First Oil Painting with the Guidance of Rosemarie |
I was so inspired by their art work, that I signed up and have taken classes with Rosemarie. She is an terrific artist with a dynamic teaching style. Learning, I am, just starting on my second oil painting under the guidance of Rosemarie.
Don't wait to sign the kids up. No one wants to hear those oh too, (and two) familiar words... "I'm bored" this summer.
The kids love her. You will be amazed with what they learn and produce. And, they will have fun doing it!

Neponset Valley Music Together Offers Free Class
Music Together is a music program where children and their adults (parents, grandparents, caregivers) share together in song, rhythm and movement.
All children love music - singing, dancing, playing instruments - and this program is a great way for parent (or caregiver) and child to share in the music experience, as well as to get out and socialize with other families and children in their area. Classes are only 45 minutes long and are offered both during a weekday and on a weekend day to accommodate a variety of schedules.
Neponset Valley Music Together is the newest location serving families in the Walpole MA and Westwood MA areas. They are offering FREE demo classes to those who wish to try out a class and see what Music Together is all about. Demo classes will be held on Wednesday February 29 at 9:30 am and 10:30 am at Temple Beth David in Westwood, Monday March 5 at 10 am and Sunday March 11 at 3 pm, both at the Villari Martial Arts Center in Walpole.
Their mixed age classes, serving children from birth to age five, will start up in April 2012. The free demo class is a great way to check out the class and decide whether to sign up for a ten-week session. The ten-week sessions come with two CDs and a song book - so you can continue the music fun beyond the classroom.
Neponset Valley Music Together is run by an experienced music educator with both a Bachelor's Degree and Master's Degree in music education, with ten years of music education experience. In fact, she was my children's music teacher when they were in elementary school.

Patriots Nest The Ravens Nest No More Walpole, MA
Now has a new name "Patriot's Nest

Photo courtesy of Scott Sukoff's WBAL blog see link below:
http://scottwykoff.wbal.com/2012/01/ravens-nest-no-more.html
In honor of fans and the beloved Patriots who will be playing one town over in Foxboro the playoff game Sunday at Foxboro Stadium this restaurant/pub has put up a new sign that reads"Patriot's Nest." This is just 20 minutes from Needham, MA.
Fans around here are so pumped and the patrons of this restaurant/pub who are also fans are really happy to be sharing the game at the "Patriot's Nest."
There are some stuffed ravens in the tavern but one patron said it's ok and he wasn't afraid of the ravens and neither were the Patriots.
The pub and restaurant is the creation of husband and wife team Mark McAuliffe, a native of County Cork, Ireland and Maura McAuliffe, a ontime Boston corporate lawyer truned restauranteur, and is the sister pub of The Mad Raven in Waltham. I have roots that go back to County Cork, Ireland too so that is neat.
The ravens will be mad all right after Patriots win tomorrow.

Oh the shops at Patriot's Place must be jumping today I am sure.
