This Doctor Makes House Calls in Baltimore!

There are times when one of my listings has a problem. Recently it was a dryer not working..even though it was fine a few hours earlier. This machine has some years on it and one might say throw it away...no problem...have it replaced...dryers aren't that expensive. I think there is a much better solution.

Let's call the doctor...we need a diagnosis. Not any doctor but the The Appliance Doctor.

There are tests to be performed...take out the computer, check it. That's OK. Check the circuits. That's OK. Check the gas lines..OK. How about the electric breaker panel..again OK.

Time to open the dryer, take the top off and VOILA...there it is. We have a diagnosis! A broken belt..how simple... what an easy fix! Well for me but for The Appliance Doctor.

The dryer was repaired, thoroughly checked and had the vents cleaned and vacuumed.

Instead of a new dryer for $600, we have a functioning dryer for just a fraction of the cost and a tremendous time saver.

So... no dryer shopping, no waiting for delivery, no installation, no disposal of an old dryer and one less appliance in our landfill!

With in a few hours all is functioning.

Charming Cheswolde Neighborhood in Baltimore, MD 21209

Cheswolde is a charming neighborhood in Baltimore, MD.

Actually, Baltimore has long been known as a city of neighborhoods. LiveBaltimore.com, a nonprofit organization that promotes living in Baltimore City, has information on many of the 225 neighborhoods that make up this wonderfully diverse city.

Before Baltimore City annexed part of Baltimore County in 1918, Cheswolde was a small area that was home to the hunting lodge of Charles Carroll of Carrolton, one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence.

For many decades, Cheswolde remained a sleepy suburb, and it was not until the building boom times of the 1940s and 1950s that many of the homes here today were built. Where the Curtis-Wright Airfield once operated a flight school into the 1950s, now there are single family homes (old and new), townhouses, garden apartments and condos. Today, Cheswolde is a charming mixture and one of my favorite Baltimore neighborhoods. But maybe that's also because it's my neighborhood, too!
