In the past, I've always celebrated the arrival of Spring by visiting the gorgeous Cherry Blossoms around the Tidal Basin in D.C. See my blog post this time last year: Thank God I Didn't Have an Open House Yesterday!
However, this year, we did a little something different. My wife's mother who lives in Maryland suggested that we visit a community called Kenwood in Bethesda/Chevy Chase to see a display of cherry blossoms. I did a little research on the internet and learned that Kenwood is an upscale neighborhood of about 240 homes with approximately 1,200 Yoshino cherry trees. There are less crowds, and some perfect places to find your own place to sit and enjoy the beauty.
Although I'm a big advocate for Northern Virginia and begrudgingly cross the River to Maryland (according to one John MacArthur) this trip was most definitely worth it!
Yesterday provided perfect weather to view the magnificence of the Spring cherry blossoms. Here's a sampling of the many photos I took yesterday.
My beautiful wife and Mother-in-Law sniffing the fragrant magnolias.
We enjoyed some gourmet raspberry lemonade. These kids were raking it in!
See the rest of the Cherry Blossom photos on Facebook.

This Kenwood mansion is currently on the market for $3.9 million. It has seven bedrooms and a pool (and the cherry blossoms are included!)
Now, I'm not licensed in Maryland (just Virginia & D.C.). However, I know tons of great Maryland agents, including several agents in my RE/MAX office who do quite a bit of business in Maryland.
So, if you fancy a neighborhood with some built-in beauty (even if the cherry blossoms are a fleeting beauty), let me know, and I'll be happy to refer you to a great Maryland agent.
