HOMEWARD BOUND PROGRAM

Homeward Bound program for PG County MD First time Home buyers. Maryland Department of Housing and Community Developement (DHCD) Secretary Raymond A. Skinner announced the creation of this product like eight months ago. But I am writing this blog for the people who might have missed the announcement or for the PG County MD First time home buyers who don't know about this product. House that needs major repairs


Homeward Bound allows eligible home buyers of any foreclosed or short sale property to obtain a loan product at a lower rate. This is good considering many if not most first time home buyers are cash scrapped before they even start the home buying process. So how do you apply for this loan you ask? You can go to http://www.mmprogram.org/documents/AcqRehabLenderFactSheet060211.doc through a Maryland Mortgage Program Participating Lender. The acquistion cost is paid to the seller of the home at closing. An amount equal to the rehabilitation cost plus up to six months of mortgage payments is put into escrow account at loan closing. Disbursements are made from the escrow account as repairs are completed by a licensed contractor.


You can also check the Maryland Mortgage Program Current interest rates. Interest rates varies depending on the discount points paid by the borrower. With the Homeward Bound eligible program home buyers of foreclosed and short sale properties will get an introductory 1/2% discount off the current applicable MMP interest rate. Bowie's Memorial Day Parade will take place on Saturday, May 29th beginning at 11:00 AM.

The Bowie Memorial Day Parade is held regardless of the weather and features marching bands, antique cars, dance groups, and much more!

The parade begins at the Bowie High School Annex on Belair Drive and finishes on Sage Lane in the Market Place Shopping Center Parking Lot.

Sussex Lane Park & Acorn Hill Park will have available snacks, food, drink, and restrooms for the convenience of those watching the parade.

Bring the family to this wonderful event and join the City of Bowie in showing support for the brave men and women who serve the United States.

Homebuying programs for home buyers with disabilities. I need your help-PLEASE. I met a very lovely couple today at my office who wants to buy a PG County house for sale. They are a first time home buyers who are looking to buy hopefully by Summer of this year. It was a referral from my other brother from another mother. (Blog coming soon).

Anyway while I was talking to this very lovely couple,the wife asked me if I know of any programs for first time home buyers with disabilities. I did a search on Google and look what I find a blog- A blog by one of our own Mariana Wagner ~ Colorado Springs REALTOR® Home Buyers with Disabilities: Colorado Now Offers a 3% Fixed Interest Loan (Through CHAFA) . This blog by the way came up first page on Google-YES! Page 1,not page 100 or 1,000,000 -Okay so I am exaggerating a little but you get my point. That is to the nayers who still doubt the Super power of the mighty Active rain. Anyway so I decided to turn my question into a blog.

Active Rain of course is super great in helping out their fellow bloggers. Like I do all of my clients,I want to make sure that they get 100% superior customer service from me-NOTHING LESS. This couple is so nice that they weren't even mad at me when I accidentally got the days mixed up. I was supposed to meet them in the office on tuesday and I thought it was another day.

And I know they are serious home buyers because they came back today. I've had people not show up at all and not even tell me or pick up their phone when I call them back. I don't like that at all. Plus they told me that they don't like paying rent. So if anybody knows any homebuying programs for home buyers with disabilities or have any suggestions,please let me know. I would really appreciate it. Thank you in advance.

According to the Bowie Maryland Real Estate Market Report Statistics -zip code 20721,sales are up a whooping 136.36%-That is great news for Bowie Maryland home buyers and of course Bowie Maryland sellers and homeowners. So if you are looking to buy a house in Bowie,MD in zip codes 20715,20716.20720 and 20721,the time to buy is now.
