The planning for Northridge took about 5 years. Michael T. Rose, the developer for the Northridge Community spared just about every tree in the wooded acres that would become Northridge. By many estimates, there are over 850 trees in Northridge. Many home sites have wooded lots with trees in the back and many have trees incorporated into the landscaping of the yards. We knew it was special the first time we drove through the undeveloped home sites while the sites were being graded and the lake filling.
