St. Clement's Island Museum, Colton's Point, off Route 242. 10 AM - 3 PM. Appraisers for jewelry, furniture, glassware, pottery, artwork, music boxes, dolls and coins will be available at the St. Clement's Island Museum to evaluate your antiques and collectibles.

A fee for dolls, coins and jewelry will be $5 for the first two items and $10 per additional item. Fees for fine arts items are $5 per item with a two item limit.

Only bring items that can be hand-carried. Space is limited and items will be viewed on a first come, first serve basis. Appraisals are verbal evaluations and not certified appraisals for insurance purposes. Certified appraisals would be available by appointment at a later date. There will also be a free soup tasting sponsored by the Chincoteague Seafood Co.

Enjoy three jazz groups and seafood delicacies in a relaxing riverside setting.

The 10th annual Potomac Jazz & Seafood Festival will take place at the St. Clement's Island Museum in Colton's Point, MD and serves as the largest fundraiser of the year for the museum. This riverside event takes place on the mainland and on the museum lawn that overlooks St. Clement's Island, the Birthplace of Maryland.

In 2009, the museum will join St. Mary's County tourism in celebrating Maryland's 375th birthday. This year, the jazz festival features only Maryland jazz artists to highlight some of the state's finest cultural treasures. Scheduled performers include jazz/blues Art Sherrod, Jr. vocalist Ruby Hayes at 4 p.m., smooth jazz sax man Jaared, and dynamic and multi-talented sax man Art Sherrod, Jr.

Tickets go on sale June 1st. They can be purchased by phone by calling the museum during business hours or on-line starting June 1. Advance tickets are $50 per adult (kids 12 and under are free) and includes parking, admission to the museum, and boat ride to St. Clement's Island should you be inclined to see the replica of the Blackistone Lighthouse and learn about Maryland's earliest history. The boat ride is an optional activity that begins at noon through 5 pm and is subject to weather conditions.

ONLY 800 TICKETS WILL BE SOLD. A SELL OUT LEAVES NO TICKETS AVAILABLE AT THE GATE. BUY EARLY!
