Lessons Learned this Wedneday Morn from my making my ten comments on Active Rain

Cheryl Ritchie, Southern Maryland Real Estate: Real Estate Agent in Huntingtown, MD

What are my Lessons Learned this Wedneday Morn from making my ten comments on Active Rain?

First of all, there is a site called www.floodsmart.gov to learn about flooding. It is the official site of the National Flood Insurance Program. Bookmarked!

There is a great Featured Post Highlighting the three S's on an FHA appraisal i.e. Safety, Security, Soundness. Reblogged!

There is a good chuckle awaiting on some Yoggi Beri real estate fashioned quotes. Learn to price and market your homes correctly to avoid déjà vu all over again. Another reblog on the spot. Great dialogs!

My goal is a reblog a day from ten comments. Pick the best post. Imagine my surprise to find two already today. There is a numbers formula to working your database. It is Members Only, or I would reblog this one, too. http://activerain.com/blogsview/2839475/not-everyone-does-it-but-everyone-should-

What are Fernando Herboso's top five Realtor qualities? CCASP...check them out but I already know I get the Academy Award in his favorite one...PERSISTENCE.

I heard the term goozeme text rider for the first time and looked it up at http://www.drivebuytech.com/signs.html

Karen Ann Stone pointed out today that by making extra comments she gets almost 30 comments a post which means more points. I also thought about the post from Celeste Cheeseman. You never know what is going on in someone else's world. Be kind, be gentle, be understanding. You just never know.

And if you need a chuckle or inspiration or a familiar friend kind of post, go hit my subscriptions under blogs and read something from one of your regular blogger pals. Today's pick? Steven and Jan Bachman. I am still chuckling. Check it out if you missed their daily post about the number of gadgets on their mental checklist as they charge out the door to an appointment.

What did I learn this Wednesday Morn while making my ten comments on Active Rain? Plenty! Can't think of a good Real Estate Post of the day? Highlight your lessons learned in a post while doing your AM Hour of Power a.k.a. Your Ten Comments a Day. It makes "you've got to learn to earn " FUN.

Off the top of my head, what did I learn from my TEN Active Rain comments this morning?

Cheryl Ritchie, Southern Maryland Real Estate: Real Estate Agent in Huntingtown, MD

Off the top of my head, what did I learn from my TEN Active Rain comments this morning?

First, I reblogged some cool photo repository sites and gave thought to the suggestion that utilizing fellow blogger photos , with permission, gives them juice, too.

I reblogged a post with some of my favorite verbiage...i.e. price war and beauty contest. I noticed the link, too, at the bottom that said originally posted at a Wordpress blog. I made my mental note to do this, too. Wordpress first, here second, to kick off my NEW Wordpress blog.

I noticed another AR blogger using Attorneys to negotiate the short sale process. Do what you do best!

Let's see, this is from memory. Hmmm. I noticed Margaret Rome chatted with a blogger and they made headlines. The message twice this morning from this post and from BLIZ is that localism and non featured posts can be where it is at for sales calls and time management.

Oh dear, one or two more tips. No peeking backward. Think, think.

Oh, I will give a tip. Since you can do ten comments a day and ten reblogs a week for AR points, I often share my intro on a reblog as one of my comments of the day. It is a quick copy paste and gets one reblog a day completed. I pick my favorite of the ten comments each day to reblog. Some days I get on a reblog roll when the AR content is humming so by having a goal of one reblog and one post a day, the rest happens naturally.

Okay, I peeked. There was a seize the day post, a post about all the stuff to learn on AR ,as in AHEM, a post about the pitfalls of going rogue as a Realtor FSBO, and a post that shows how local our posts can really be for highlighting different practices across the country. These are the tips I picked up today thus early Active Rain Morn. How about you?

What are the Top Five Apps this Southern Maryland Realtor is Actually USING this week?

What are the Top Five Apps this Southern Maryland Realtor is Actually USING this week?

This is a moving target. So I am going to do it off the top of my head as an answer to an Active Rain post query today from Gita Bantwal.

Mind you, this list is for this week only and who knows what adventures I will be on next week.

I am using the Pinterest app a lot. I even started a Pinterest for Realtors Group on Active Rain.

Warning Label. Do this late at night because it is highly addictive.

I also use new Smartr app constantly when I find I have not entered someone in my Top Producer 8i database yet.

Oh, I should put Evernote at the tip top of any weekly list and leave it there. I keep my daily telephone log in it now and much more.

I have been parked in Docusign Webinars learning it better so that makes this week's five.

The last one is a wild card. I am using the mobile version of Google Docs. Here is an example so you can use my idea as a Springboard for your ideas.

Let's say you have to co manage an Estate or Trust or Business of some sort.

You set up an email address and all emails get a CC to this address for fast, easy retrieval access.

You set up docs to keep up to the minute meeting ideas, checklists etc.

You even set up a calendar or spreadsheets that are needed.

Then you share the password with your family members or business partners.

No lost emails. No spam hostage emails. Up to the second communication.

So you want to know which five apps have me hooked this week?

Pinterest, Evernote, Docusign, Smartr, and Google Mobile Docs ...which I keep as a Bookmark on my iPad Screen.

Fragrances and Songs wrapped in Memories

Cheryl Ritchie, Southern Maryland Real Estate: Real Estate Agent in Huntingtown, MD

Fragrances and Songs wrapped in Memories...

So there is a fragrance that makes me think of my childhood best friend's Mom.

There are songs like California Girl that take me back to a moment in time that's fine.

There are photos that transport me, too.

It is a wonderful thing to do...just stop, smell, and listen for a spell. Some of the memories are swell.
