Chestertown is quaint, historic, a wonderful place to live, a wonderful place to retire to. Probably best known for it's Memorial Day celebration, The Tea Party, but fine dining and fine lodging is available at The Imperial Hotel, located in the heart of the historic district, on High St. Steps to the dock at the foot of High St., the ambience of the Front Room, and the Tuscany Room is wonderful.
The food is outstanding, thanks to a wonderful creative chef, and there are wine tastings offered weekly at a reasonable price ($12.00 per person) which includes wonderful cheeses and breads. I'm one of their biggest fans and Joe Dolce, part owner and manager, has kindly provided me with the following menu (and permission to reprint it) Please come and enjoy... if you can stay a night or so, you won't be disappointed in the amenities and the service is outstanding! Happy hour is daily 4 - 6 in The Front Room, terrific apps and drinks by the outstanding bartender, Paul. Enjoy great conversation and music. Hope to see you there! .
Lots to see and do in Chestertown... for more information, check out www.chestertown.com

Definitely picked up in the last couple of months, we have been busy and the buyers are buying. A couple of my listings sold and closed in 45 days, which is awesome! Our listing side has always been strong, but the buyers are coming out. Maybe it's because the media is onto something else, and combine that with usual spring activity? A couple of my listings have sold within 35 days, which my sellers and I are thankful for!
What are your thoughts? How is your market doing?
Happy Memorial Day! Be safe and have a good one. Check out Chestertown's celebration of Memorial Day. We have a huge street festival "The Tea Party" Check out www.chestertown.com

After a long couple of days of house searching, my clients felt that had found the perfect house, Location, awesome, condition great, price... right in the ball park. I unlocked the door and we walked in and she fell in love... Momma was HAPPY, so we all were happy!
BUT THEN -- the most god awful barking, baying, howling started up, and we walked to look in the back of the yard, and the neighbor that backs up to there fence had SIX... yes COUNT them SIX hunting dogs in a big kennel about 6 feet from the fence. The noise was unbelievable.
On to the NEXT house - which looked promising as well. Brand new construction, on market for 383 days, (first clue to me there was an issue). House was elegant, nicely done, soaring ceilings, landscaped well, staged.... and across the street were skateboard ramps, and two "tiered" trampolines, where the little darlings could jump from one level to the other, and you guessed it -- another dog kennel in the side yard... with three dogs that greeted us joyously.
Now, I love my dogs, I am on the Board of the Humane Society, I enjoy the heck out of animals, I enjoy kids, have three..., I feel very sorry for the owners of these properties... they have a tiger on their hands! I'm very happy they aren't my listings!
Happy ending, I think they found their home, though... and the old buyers are liars was once again proven to be true!
