Damascus Md. Rental Market Report - December 22, 2009
This is a market report on the homes for rent in the town of Damascus, Md. The information is taken from the Metropolitan Regional Information System (MRIS) on December 22, 2009.
There are a total of ten rentals currently active in the MRIS system listed in Damascus. The least expensive is a one-bedroom one bath on the market for $800. The most expensive is a four bedroom, three full bath, one half bath colonial on three-quarters of acre of property for $2,000 per month. While some are new to the market within the last week the longest has only been on the market for just about six months (170 days), with the average being less than three months (84 days).
There is currently three applications registered to rent a home in Damascus Md. Since November 22, 2009, three homes have been rented in town.
One Bedroom
There is currently only one one-bedroom apartment listed in the MRIS database for Damascus Md. This apartment is listed for $800 per month and has been on the market for a nearly six months (170 days).
No application is pending on a one-bedroom apartment in Damascus Md., nor has any one-bedroom rented since November 22, 2009.
Two Bedrooms
There are currently four two-bedroom homes on the market for rent in Damascus, Md. based on data found in the MRIS database The rents are listed from $1,180 the least expensive to $1,300 per month for the most expensive, and the days on market average less than three months (85 days) between the four of them.
There is one application pending on a two condo with a fireplace in Damascus, Md. This apartment was last listed at $1,200 per month and has been on the market for slightly over a month (33 days).

There are no applications pending to rent a four-bedroom home in Damascus, Md. at the time of this report, nor have any been rented since November 22, 2009.
Five Bedrooms
There are at this time no five-bedroom homes on the market for rent in Damascus, Md.
There is one application pending on a five-bedroom two-car garage detached home on nearly an acre of ground (.91 ac), last listed for $2,800 per month. This home was on the market for less than two weeks (10 days) before the application was accepted.
Since November 22 2009, no five-bedroom homes have rented in Damascus Md.
