Out and About Loving South County
Today for Valentine's Day hubby and I decided to cruise around the Annapolis area and check out how things were looking after the two record breaking blizzards. So we headed out to the Annapolis Neck Penninsula, then Eastport and Downtown Annapolis and then South County where The Inn at Pirates Cove is located and where we planned to have our Valentine eats.
Pirates Cove is located in a small, quaint community called Galesville. One street in and one street out size community located on the West River. Established in 1960 and owned by Bob and Theano Platt since 1984, Pirates Cove has been a favorite destination for many, including us.

One of the nicest things we have enjoyed about visiting Pirates Cove is the consistancy in service and in food. Both are always top notch. Though offering a dining room overlooking the West River, one of my favorite spots for dining is the small intimate bar area that boasts a woodburning fireplace. Just right for these cold winter evenings.
In the summer Pirates Cove expands outside with deckside dining both covered and uncovered. And on weekends May to September they open the outside bar area called Big Mary's. The perfect spot for lighter fare and the sounds of local musicians. And The West River Sailing Club holds its Wednesday Night Sailboat races right here at Pirates Cove.

The Inn at Pirates Cove is a great destination no matter the season.
