Four Seasons in Gambrills, MD Annual Holiday Light and Seasonal Display Contest
It's time again for the Community of Four Seasons to dust off those snazzy lights and lawn ornaments for a shot at bragging rights and a prize- $75 for 1st place, $50 for 2nd, and $35 for third. Any residence of the original Four Seasons Community Association is eligible to enter. Four Seasons Elementary School staff and PTA will once again be judging and they are looking for Originality, Holiday Spirit, and Curb Appeal.
The first round of judging will take place from December 11 to December 16 from 6:30pm to 8:30pm. From that round, 10 semi-finalists will be chosen. From there the judges will go back out for a second look at those semi-finalist from December 19 to December 21st. The winners will be announced on December 23rd and pictures of the top three will be displayed on the Four Seasons Community Association website - www.fsca.net . We were looking for a fun, family adventure on Saturday afternoon and happened on Maryland Sunrise Farm located at the intersection of
Rt 175 and Gambrills Road in Gambrills, MD 21054
They have lots of fun things to do including a hay ride, a kid’s cow train, a kids hay maze and a hay jump and more!The hay ride takes you on a tour of the largest family owned certified organic farm in Maryland.
The biggest draw in the Fall for Maryland Sunrise Farm is the HUGE corn maze (Does that make it a Maize Maze?) You can wander around in the maze for 20 minutes or hours.There are so many twists and turns you can get really turned around!They even have flags you can carry and raise if you get too lost.
There are “passport stations” throughout the maze that line up with questionnaire’s that are provided when you pay.The answers tell you which way to go, get ‘em wrong and you may get lost!
There are also totem stations throughout where you can do crayon rubbings.Head to the totem board to find out what they mean.
Start or finish your visit to the farm with a hotdog or some fresh roasted nuts or popcorn.
Don’t forget to pick up a pumpkin on the way out.

Daddy - Daughter Date Night at Chick-fil-A in Gambrills, MD
This Monday and Tuesday - June 20th and 21st, Chick-fil-A is hosting a special daddy - daughter date night at their Gambrills restaurant.
You will be greeted at the door, and guided to a special candlelit table complete with cloth tablecloth and fresh flowers, where you will receive table-side service.
Reservations are required and can be done via email to joyh@cfawaughchapel.com by sending your name, number of guests, the date you'd like to attend, and a general time. Time slots are available every fifteen minutes from 5:00pm to 7:15.
Dinner is a flat rate of $15 for each dad and one daughter and each additional daughter is only $5 each. This includes a full meal and dessert for each guest.
The restaurant will still be open to the general public. However, there will be a reserved section for the daddy daughter diners.
