Calvert County Community SHRED Event Saturday October 1, 2011 Huntingtown MD 20639

That Flyer sure caught my eye in the Chesapeake Beach Post Office today.

Probably because I think it is also a great event to host at a Real Estate Office around tax time.

Out with the old paperwork, in with the new.

Anyway, the Calvert County Community SHRED Event is Saturday October 1, 2011 in Huntingtown MD 20639.

OOppss... I drive by PNC every day so I need to take the iPhone Photo to give them deserved good photo press.

The hours are 8AM to 11:30 AM at the Calverton School in Huntingtown MD. It is located on 300 Calverton School Road.

You may bring up to five Bankers Boxes, yes that is what the flyer says, of personal material to be shredded on site.

All the shredded materials will be recycled. What a neat Community Event! Start boxing up your paperpwork!

Southern Maryland Market Bedroom Stats for Dunkirk MD vs Huntingtown MD Calvert County

Cheryl Ritchie, Southern Maryland Real Estate: Real Estate Agent in Huntingtown, MD

Southern Maryland Market Bedroom Stats for Dunkirk MD vs Huntingtown MD in Calvert County...HUH?

My new upgraded razzle dazzle Realtor Southern Maryland Subscription Stats Program by www.rbintel.com lets me add a few extra dimensions when I analyze Southern Maryland Real Estate Market Data. This DC area MLS Stats Vendor is going to add even more cool twists and turns later this year but for now, let's look at Huntingtown versus Dunkirk when bedroom count is a very important parameter.

Okay, first comes the summary, then the charts, then my two cents. It might be three cents so let's see if there are any mysteries to this fresh off the press Southern Maryland Market Data. Okay, Sherlock Cheryl let's take a Stroll through the current Southern Maryland Stats Landscape. Note the colors match the key color below the chart in perfect sequence! It is ALL homes in BLUE then 3, 4, 5 and 6 Bedroom Data. The Huntingtown zip is 20639 which is first and 20754 is the Dunkirk zip which is displayed second.

Summary? Summer Sales perk up in both zip codes. You would aniticipate this for Family Summer Moves. There appears to be a proportionately higher demand for 4BR Homes in the Huntingtown Zip during the Summer months than in the Dunkirk Zip. Both zips show sparked interest in 6 BR homes in August right when school starts.

My Two Cents? If you are a Buyer interested in these two zip codes, and the trend remains the same next year, you might want to shop and purchase in early Spring to avoid the demand for more bedrooms prevalent during the Summer School Move Months. This is particularly true, too, for the six bedroom last minute sales sprint right before School starts in both zips. Why are the four bedroom Summer stats notably higher in the Huntingtown 20639 first zip code graph? Maybe the new Huntingtown High School accounts for that!

Keep coming back as a welcome guest because there are going to be more and more cool Southern Maryland Market Stats and Facts! Plus these charts are interactive so the graphs and charts remain up to date as the NEW monthly data is released around the tenth of each month.

The Jeep door hinge needs to be fixed...NOW!

Cheryl Ritchie, Southern Maryland Real Estate: Real Estate Agent in Huntingtown, MD

The Jeep door hinge needs to be fixed...NOW!

Some things in life take precedence.

You may have a whole list of top priority items that need to be completed in a day and then one comes along that trumps them all.

I have multiple offers on a listing in Owings MD. I have a 203K inspection scheduled for this afternoon on another sale. But what squeezed in the middle?

My drivers side door for the Jeep has a broken hinge. In other words, the door will not open and close. It needs to be repaired now. I cannot exactly see going down the Southern Maryland Highway in this COLD and ICE with a window open let alone a DOOR!

So I eliminated the company that did not call me back. I eliminated the company that had a two week back log and might kind of maybe fit me in possibly for repairs. I went with the Auto Body shop, Chesapeake Collisions, that was referred to me by a client that is in this business, that took my Jeep on the spot, that tried to help me with transportation, and that gave me a fair price. It should take a couple of days. So, while it ices and snows and freezes over in Southern Maryland, this will be one stationery Southern Maryland Realtor. Now back to those multiple offers.

A Tribute to our Neighbor and Friend, Wanda Morrison

Cheryl Ritchie, Southern Maryland Real Estate: Real Estate Agent in Huntingtown, MD

A Tribute to our Neighbor and Friend, Wanda Morrison

When I think of Wanda, I think of chocolate. She loved her chocolate. I would drop off Godiva at her doorstep at Christmas. This year I treated her to White Chocolate and Cherry Bread. She enjoyed all kinds of sweets. My Dad would take her McFlurry's. My Mom would share all kinds of goodies with her. As long as it was sweet, it was a treat to her. But chocolate in her book was tough to beat.

When I think of Wanda, I think of her family. Her conversation almost always included them. Occasionally we would talk about the Diners (you know, the birds we would feed on the beach) or about Ralph, but mostly her conversations were about family.

When I think of Wanda, I think of soaps. Yep, those things on tv in the afternoon. There was a cardinal rule. Do not disturb Wanda during her soaps ...not even for chocolate.

When I think of Wanda, I think of LAUGHTER. No matter what, she could make you SMILE. You could be talking about absolutely nothing and she could put a noun and verb together that just made you burst out laughing. She was quick witted, too. She was a joy to be around.

When I think of Wanda, I cannot help but smile.

There is hardly a day that goes by that I do not think of my Grandparents and my Grandmother. If I start to forget, they scroll by on my Laptop Screensaver Photos to remind me.

It is the same with Ralph and now it will be the same with Wanda always.

There was a period in my life when I was very blue. I would go to my parents Beach House and sit by the Bay. Each day, Ralph would trot out and come sit by me. We would watch the Diners and talk about absolutely nothing. The Beach does that for you. As time went on, I was not quite so sad and kind of glad that I had this new Beach Buddy. Your Pop Pop became my friend, too. We would plot Watermelon Feasts on upcoming Summer Holidays. He could really make a watermelon look good. I finally got around to asking for my first iced cold piece and from that time after it was our Beach Holiday thing.

I knew what I had to do when we all lost my Dad's Fishing Buddy, Ralph. Wanda was really, really, really blue. I made up my mind I would do what Ralph had done for me. So every time I went to the Beach to see my folks, I would tap on the door. Hey, Wanda, come out and talk with me! Hey, Wanda, want to go to a church supper with me? Hey Wanda, where are my Mom and Dad? Hey, Wanda, look at this, try this, eat this....You know, I was just the Neighbor bug you've gotta love.

And over time, the same thing happened. But this time SHE got better. And that gave me something more to SMILE about.

Well in our family, we call her "The Old Bat." And to all of us, it was a SWELL Thing.

If we had been polite or reverential she would have wondered what was up.

We would ask the Old Bat over to eat with us and talk with us or go to dinner with us. She was part of the everyday plan.

I know how much I will miss her. "Ralph and Wanda" was always one word to us. It was our cool Neighbors next door. I know one thing for sure. They are up there with the Diners, they have a neat Bat Cave, and that Bat Mobile has the coolest wheels in Heaven.

I love you Wanda and always will. Ralph, we all took good care of your Gal while you were gone. And we loved every single moment of it. Amidst the tears, there will always be miles of smiles for our Wanda Morrison, that OLD BAT next door. We love you to the Moon and Back, Wanda, you Old BAT!
