QR Codes on Listed Properties in Lothian Maryland 20711
The next time you're driving down Ed Prout Road in Lothian Maryland watch for my Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage For Sale sign (assuming that this lot hasn't yet sold!!!). It's got a sign rider on the bottom with a Quick Response Code (or QR Code) hanging below my name and phone number. If you stop, you can scan the QR Code with your Smart Phone's Camera and get property information. Use any QR Code reader (I use the QR Code Reader from www.i-nigma.com) to capture the code, then follow the link to online property information supplied by www.RealBird.com.
In the photo to the left, you can see the custom sign rider I had made for the property. It says "More Info? Scan Here" and points to the QR Code that uniquely points to the property information.
I just deployed this rider on this property and a few others last week. This sign rider could easily do away with having to put "take one" boxes on properties. Since take one boxes are notorious for being empty, anyone passing by who has a Smart Phone (and who doesn't these days?) can stop, snap, click and be instantly linked to up-to-date information about the home (or in this case land).
The QR Code on the rider in the picture is for a 2.5 acre parcel of undeveloped land in Lothian, Maryland located at 5271 Rustic Way. Below you'll find the QR Code that's on the sign rider. You can use your Smart Phone to snap a picture of the QR Code right on the computer screen and find property information for this listing supplied by www.RealBird.com. The RealBird® Listing Publisher provides all-in-one social media and mobile marketing services. QR Codes are "mobile marketing services".

So the next time your driving down the road (whether it's Rt. 2 headed South to Solomons Island or North to Annapolis or on Ed Prout Road headed East or West) and you see a sign rider with the words "More Info? Scan Here", you should stop, snap and click to get more information on the homes where the riders hang!!!
To learn more about Quick Response Codes, Mobile Tagging and what this is all about read my blog posting about the subject.

South County is The Heart of Horse Country in Anne Arundel County Maryland
There may be more horses in Southern Anne Arundel County than people. This area is home to horse farms with names like "Holiday Stables" and "Homestead Hill". There are signs hung at the end of driveways that are so set back from the road you can't see the house announcing to anyone who passes by that horses known by names like "Obligation" are stabled there. Southern Anne Arundel County is often referred to as "South County" by local area residents. Nestled throughout the tri-town area of Lothian, Harwood and Davidsonville you will find horse farms, old tobacco farms (no longer growing tobacco but now producing corn and soy), luxury estate homes on multi-acre lots, and the gentle rolling hills found along this part of the Chesapeake Bay.
A Saturday or Sunday afternoon drive is not complete this time of year without a stop at Dick and Jane's Farm Marketwhere you'll find flowers and produce. October brings a pumpkin field and a corn maze within which to wander. Children will squeal with delight while loosing their parents for a few minutes in the maze and would make Charlie Brown proud seeking out The Great Pumpkin.
Southern Maryland is steeped in history with well known personalities and locales. William Penn came to the home of Col. Thomas Tailler on "The Ridge" in December of 1682 for his first conference with Charles Lord Baltimore as to the location of the boundary line between Maryland and Pennsylvania.
There are several luxury estate homes with stables, barns or run-in sheds for your horses in the Lothian, Harwood or Davidsonville area of Southern Anne Arundel County. Once such example is the luxury estate home found at 10 Thorton Spring Lane. This classic Cape Cod with over 4,500 square feet of living space (not counting the unfinished basement) was constructed in 2006 on nearly 7 acres of riding and grazing land (backing to 200 acres of farm land) and features 5 bedrooms with 3.5 bathrooms. Pamper your hourses in total luxury in the new 1,800 square foot stable with three stalls, a wash-down stall, stall warmers, and office with a half bath. For more details on this luxury estate home, click here!
Southern Anne Arundel County is located 25 minutes from City Dock at the heart of downtown Annapolis, about 45 minutes from Baltimore-Washington International Airport (BWI), and is quick 43 minutes from the White House at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
If you do not yet have your own horse but are thinking about learning to ride or if you need a local Maryland Horse Stable for boarding, click here! And for more information on horseback riding in the greater Annapolis Maryland area, check out this article in What's Up?.
