American Flags in Oatland Farm

Peggy Lyn Speicher-Maryland Homes for Sale or Rent with Maryland REMAX Agents: Real Estate Agent in Olney, MD

American Flags in Oatland FarmTo celebrate Independence Day, Peggy Lyn Speicher and The Speicher Team are continuing the proud tradition of placing almost 400 American Flags in Oatland Farm.

In 1997, Peggy Lyn started placing American Flags in the neighborhood that she called home at the time. For the past several years, they have been proud to place (and call home) American Flags in Oatland Farm.

Peggy Lyn’s husband, Chris, who is also on The Speicher Team, comes from a military family. His paternal grandfather, Harry S. Etter, M.D, Rear Admiral, U.S. Navy (Retired), was commanding officer of Bethesda Naval Hospital, was the second senior officer in the Navy Medical Department, and at the time of his retirement was head of the Bureau of Medicine and Surgery. In addition, he has several extended family members who served in our armed forces – another reason we place American Flags in Oatland Farm.

Currently, Peggy Lyn’s nephew, Tyler, is a crew chief on a Blackhawk helicopter in Afghanistan and Chris’s cousin, Cory, is serving with the special forces in the Middle East. Yet another reason we feel it’s important to place American Flags in Oatland Farm.

The Speicher Team wished everyone very safe and happy Independence Day and we hope you enjoy your American Flags in Oatland Farm!

ICC Rates for first segment - Montgomery County, MD

Dr. Stacey-Ann Baugh, Prince George's County, MD: Real Estate Agent in Upper Marlboro, MD

The long talked about ICC is under construction. The Inter-County Connector (ICC) is a toll high way that is being contructed to connect portions of Montgomery County with Prince George's County. This project has been controversial partly because of it's proximity to residential areas. However, the ICC is hoping to reduce congestion and speed the commute between these locations.

The first segment between I-370 in Shady Grove and Georgia Ave (near Leisure World) is set to open in early 2011.

The rates for this segment will be $1.45 during peak hours (weekdays between 6am and 9am & 4pm and 7pm), $1.15 during off peak hours, and $.60 overnight.

The ICC will have no toll booths. Instead, all tolls will be collected using EZ Pass at high speed toll booths. A driver without EZ Pass who uses the highway will receive a bill for the toll and a service fee.

The ICC is being built in five segments. The second segment between Georgia Ave and I-95 is set to open in late 2011 or early 2012.
