Would You Like to Have One of These Homes?

Both of these homes are located in the highly popular region of Perry Hall Maryland, which is in Northeast Baltimore County.

In particular, they are in the subdivision of Tartan Hill, which has been voted as the most beautiful neighborhood in all of Perry Hall.

Moderately priced homes each with three bedrooms, two full baths, and one half bath.

As a bonus the schools are either blue ribbon level or have been counted among the top 6 percent in the entire country.

They are within a 30 minute commute to Downtown Baltimore, Towson, and Aberdeen Proving Ground.

If you wish to travel further, then you can use the very convenient and accessible commuter train which is only five minutes away.

Oh, before I go on any more, I should probably tell you that the one has been sold and that the other already has a buyer ready to go.

That's right! Were you still sitting around and waiting as if prices were going to drop and as if it would remain a buyers market forever. Sorry folks, but the tide has changed; this is the time to buy.

In fact, it may be especially important to buy now, while mortgage interest rates are still very low.

Don't worry other homes are available, but they are not sitting on the market like before, at least, not in this hot region, which just so happens to be abundant with new jobs.

One of My Houses

One of My Houses

Before I was in the business of real estate I bought the house described and shown below. It was in fairly good condition when I bought it, but I got a very good price, which was as low or lower than anyone else in the neighborhood for the next four years.

I figured that if I could work out a great deal for myself when not being in the business, then I could probably do this for others, as well, if I were in the business.

For nearly twelve years, I have been doing just that, helping Buyers and Sellers with their real estate transactions.

It looks like a rancher, but it is not. It actually has three levels. If I am in my living room, I can see into every room in the house, with the exception of my master bathroom. This openness is largely created by a vaulted ceiling in my living room and an open, loft-like hallway, in the upper level, which overlooks the living room, and a sunken, by about three steps, family room which is primarily separated from the living room by a banister. The kitchen and dining room are off in the other direction but still on the first level like the living room. It's pretty cool.

Baltimore's Tartan Hill: Voted The Most Beautiful Neighborhood in Perry Hall

I was sitting in my living room and talking to a friend on the phone as I described my house to her. From where I was sitting, I could see every room, with the exception of my master bedroom. No this was not a Manhattan warehouse flat with brick outer walls and no inner walls. This is one of the 1980s contemporary houses which was built in the neighborhood of Tartan Hill.

The living room has a vaulted ceiling which opens to the upper hallway, which only has a railing to divide it from the room below. The upper bedrooms and baths, of course, all have doors for privacy, but they all lead to the loft like hall. The family room is sunken from the living room by about two steps and separated by another railing. To my right and past the open foyer, is my country sized kitchen, with the dining room just to its right.

The neighborhood of 89 homes has six models, with the one described above being the most popular. Two more traditional designs include a colonial style and a split level.

When the homes were built, the goal was to leave as many of the mature trees as possible. When the construction was complete, the streets were lined with Bradford Pear trees.

With much of the original trees still standing, with a bit of landscaping with shrubs and flowers by the new homeowners, and with a very caring community the new development quickly became one of Perry Hall's favorite neighborhoods and was, in fact, voted as its most beautiful.

Besides its beauty, Tartan Hill is in a very convenient area with White Marsh Mall, The Avenue at White Marsh, and several other shopping and entertainment areas around the Greater Perry Hall region.

This northeast section of Baltimore County, in an effort to maintain sprawl, was targeted as an area for residential growth and has quickly become one of the most desireable areas in the entire Greater Baltimore Region. Its schools consistently rank among the best.
