WHAT A WAY TO END THE YEAR!
Today was a very good day.
I started my day speaking with the lovely Andrea Bedard about helping the wife of a deployed service member to get mortgage ready. Andrea is a military wife who not only talks the talk, she walks the walk! I look forward to working more closely with her in 2012. She is lovely and really understands the special needs of Fort Meade, Maryland military buyers.

I spoke with another realtor about his client's offer. I spoke to the listing agent last night about the highly qualified buyer. We are still waiting on the bank to choose which offer they will accept.
Tonight, I had my first loan closing with my new company, CrossCountry Mortgage, Inc. (Don't worry Margaret Rome, it was a refinance!)
The client was referred to me by June Piper-Brandon (above on left). So a HUGE shout out to June and a big THANK YOU for introducing me to such wonderful folks! Several months ago the couple was considering moving and June asked that I pre-qualify them. Due to unforeseen circumstances, they changed their mind about the move, so with June's permission, we discussed a refinance. Her goal was to ensure the clients had the information to make the best decision for them. The refi made sense.
They were kind enough to wait until I got settled in with our new company and re-signed all new loan documents, the delay meant an even better interest rate then I had first promised them. What fun! I appreciate their loyalty and their patience more than they can know!
The settlement was conducted by Maryland Title Works Unlimited, Inc. They did a fabulous job, as always! They are always quick to turnaround the initial title binder, and any necessary document updates (and with two lenders, there were quite a few updates needed!), making it easy to move things along quickly. I was introduced to MTWU through the every fabulous Dr. Stacey Ann Baugh, we did a settlement together with them about 2 years ago and they have never failed to impress! The settlement officer was Randee Duncan of Experienced Settlement Services (410)-350-5058. Randee has worked as a sub-contractor with MTWU for many years and as always settlement was expertly handled. It was professional, knowledgable, smooth, friendly and timely. What more can you ask for?
After settlement my clients (now my friends) told me that they have sent my contact information to everyone they know. Now THAT is the way to leave a settlement! Looking forward to lots of referrals from these folks!
On my way home I called June to let her know that we had closed her referral and secured them an amazing interest rate! She was happy for them and for me. We spent some time talking about her super successful quarter with HT Brown, Century 21 and the wonderful momentum she is on. We are going to put together a single property website for her to take on a competitive listing appointment she has scheduled for Monday (a holiday for most, not JUNE....work, work, work!). I am hoping it will be just one more reason for the seller's to know that June's got it going on!
I know that her success is a direct result of how much she cares about her clients and making sure that they are in the best position, not just about how much money she can make! Good on you June, wishing you even greater success to come in 2012!!~
And THIS is the way to come home! What a way to end the year, and there are still 2 days to go!
