Aquarius At Bel Pre, a Silver Spring, Md. 20906 Subdivision

Aquarius At Bel Pre is a community of semi-detached homes in the 20906 zipcode of Silver Spring Md. There are 138 homes in this community along both sides of Homecrest Road. between Bel Pre Rd and Longmead Crossing Dr. Homecrest Road is east on Bel Pre Rd from the Connecticut and Bel Pre Rd intersection. The community has a small Tot Lot along Homecrest Road.

These semidetached single level 3 or 4 bedroom homes with 2 baths and 2 car garage homes, some with fireplaces; were built in 1972 or 1973. All come with off street parking. While all where built with garages, some owners have converted these or portions of to additional living space. The living space of these homes range from just over 1200 sqft to 1939 sqft.

Montgomery County Ride-On Bus route #26 comes through the community along Homecrest Dr., giving the community easy access to the Glenmont and Twinbook METRO stations, the two legs of the Redline. This bus can also by used to reach the Montgomery Mall with all its shops, eateries, and entertainment. The Layhill Center and Plaza del Mercado are two of the local shopping centers, that can also be reachable on this bus route; have banking, restaurants, groceries, gas stations and other stores. The Aspen Hill Public Library and Montgomery Mall with its shops, eateries and entertainment are also reachable via this bus too. Of the several parks in the area, North Gate is reachable via this Ride-On Bus.

A Jan 30, 2008 check of the Montgomery County Public School Locator reveals that the community is in the Downcounty Consortium. The Elementary Schools that handle the community is currently Brook Heaven ES, the middle school for the community is Parkland MS, and the high school for the area is Wheaton HS.
