Celebrate the Season at Annmarie Garden
Annmarie Garden announces an exciting schedule of holiday programs, exhibits, and special events.
At the heart of the festivities is the Garden In Lights, Annmarie Garden's delightful holiday walk-through light show. When you pay admission to Annmarie Garden, you gain entry to not only Garden In Lights, but also two extraordinary exhibits, the ornament show and sale, wonderful shopping, holiday entertainment, refreshments, and more. With a modest admission price and exceptional programs, Annmarie Garden is the perfect destination for the holidays. Holiday programs kick off November 24 and continue through January 2.
New for 2009! Garden in Lights will include golf cart tours, pet night, and special discount nights for the military, public safety workers, and teachers.

Garden In Lights: a glorious walk-through light show
December 4, 2009 - January 2, 2010

Garden In Lights is a magical walking tour that takes visitors on a beautiful trip through the woods. As you stroll along the protected path, you will be transported to a magical place of spectacular lights and amazing "light sculptures." Guests will be surrounded by mythical beasts, wild animals, pirates, illuminated works of art, and fantastical creations, to name but a few. Because all the "light sculptures" are handmade at Annmarie Garden, the designs are one of a kind. Nothing in this show is commercially available - it is all made just for visitors to Annmarie Garden.
Walking tour - The intimacy of a walking tour allows guests to be completely enveloped by the lights, to study and enjoy them at your own pace, and to see the beauty of the lights reflected in the eyes of your loved ones. It truly is a wondrous experience. For those guests that crave the warmth of the indoors, much of the light show can be enjoyed from the comfort of the Arts Building, where you will also find a warm drink, exhibits, and great shopping!
NEW! Golf Cart Tours - On December 9 & 30, golf cart tours will be available for those guests unable to walk the path.
NEW! Pet Night - On Sunday, December 13, bring your pet to Garden In Lights! Regular admission fees apply, plus $1 per pet. All pets must be on a 6 ft or shorter leash. Pets lacking in manners will be asked to leave. Please note: pets are not allowed on any other nights of Garden In Lights.

Entertainment Schedule-From traditional holiday carols, to classical sounds, to rock and folk music, Garden In Lights offers a nice variety of music throughout the three-week event.
Admission - Admission to Annmarie Garden's is $3.00 for adults; $2.00 for seniors; $2.00 for children 5-12; children under 5 and AMG members are free. Admission includes access to all holiday programming, including Garden In Lights, the exhibits, the ornament show, and all holiday festivities. In the Arts Building, guests can enjoy warm drinks, festive entertainment and additional activities for children and adults alike. Annmarie Garden is handicap and stroller accessible; Groups and tour buses should call ahead.
Pet Policy: pets are not allowed in Garden In Lights except during Pet Night, Sunday, December 13, 6-9pm.
Directions - Annmarie Garden is conveniently located just off Route 2-4 on Dowell Road in Solomons, Maryland. From Washington, DC: Follow Route 4 East (Pennsylvania Avenue) down to Solomons. From Baltimore, MD: Take Route 3 South, which becomes Route 301, to Route 4. OR Follow 1-97 towards Annapolis. Merge into Route 2 and follow Route 2 South until you reach Route 4. From Annapolis, MD: Solomons is an easy drive down Route 2 to Route 4. From Richmond, VA: Follow Interstate 95 North to Route 207, which becomes Route 301. Stay on Route 301 until you reach Upper Marlboro, then take Route 4 South to Solomons.

The Calvert Marine Museum is located on State Route 2 in Solomons, Calvert County, Southern Maryland, twenty miles south of Prince Frederick, and about an hour and fifteen minutes from Washington D.C.

Directions:
From Washington, D.C. - Take State Route 4 South from the Washington Beltway to State Route 2-4 to Solomons.
From Baltimore - Take Interstate 97 south from the Baltimore Beltway, to Route 2 South. Continue south on Route 2-4 to Solomons.
You can also take I-97 south to the Aris T. Allen Boulevard exit (Route 665), then follow signs for Solomons Island, Route 2 South. Go south on Route 2, following signs for Prince Frederick. Route 2 will join with Route 4 - make a left from Route 2 onto Route 2-4 South. Follow Route 2-4 South to Solomons.
Once in Solomons, stay in the right lane of Route 2-4. It will exit to Route 2, passing under the Thomas Johnson Bridge. Make a left, drive approximately 200 yards, and the museum will be right in front of you.
From Richmond - Take U.S. route 301 north into Maryland, then State Route 234 east to State Route 5, south on State Route 5 passing Leonardtown, left on State Route 4 across the Thomas Johnson Bridge (lower Patuxent River Bridge) to State Route 2 at North end of the bridge, then right approximately 500 feet to the museum.

Zig Ziglar! For those of us in the Real Estate Industry know the statue of a man Zig Zigglar. In an instant everything changed. Zig Zigler fell down the stairs at home and had a severe brain injury. Life changes dramatically. We have all had a circumstance when thing are just life altering. Zig Zigler did, a brain injury. My brother did too and he worked through it. My brother , and am very proud and love him so much, is more successful than he was before. Zig did NOT give up. He triumphed! Zig spoke about his life altering experiences and had nothing to hide. Zig wants to spread the knowledge that he has learned and mor epower to him. Times are tough in our life, but those with the will and and courage like Zig Zigler will embrace, learn and then teach to us how to persevere and succeed. Don't ever give up!

With over 20 albums recorded and millions sold, Kim Wilson and The Fabulous Thunderbirds tour the world performing their own unique style of music. Known for barnburning hits like "Tuff Enuff" and "Wrap it Up" this group will have our 200 seat indoor auditorium rocking all night long.
With music ranging from pop anthems like "Powerful Stuff" which was featured in the Tom Cruise movie "Cocktail", to the low down blues of Chicago, this brand of honest music brings fans back time and again.
Having shared the stage with The Rolling Stones, Joe Cocker, Carlos Santana and blues legends BB King and Buddy Guy, The Fabulous Thunderbirds continue to tour Europe and North America, bringing more great music to their fans worldwide.
This intimate 200 seat performance will be a rare opportunity to enjoy hits like "Tuff Enuff" and "Wrap It Up."
Tickets for the show are $45.00 (additional service fees apply).
Seats for the show are general admission and are not assigned. Doors will open at 6:00 p.m., and the show will start at 7:30 p.m.
Beer, wine, soda, and water will be available throughout the evening.
Rock all night long with the Texas style blues and power rock sounds of The Fabulous Thunderbirds on Friday, November 13, at the Calvert Marine Museum's indoor auditorium.
