Concert by Ray Owen performing The Song Buccaneer, a musical adventure filled with pirates, island, sea life, beached ships, sailors, and mythical creatures. Owen's performances are engaging and family friendly, as he accompanies himself on guitar, banjo, harmonica, and concertina. Sponsored by the Maryland Arts Council. FREE.

Located in Solomons, Maryland, the Calvert Marine Museum is a public, non-profit, educational, regionally oriented museum dedicated to the collection, preservation, research, and interpretation of the culture and natural history of Southern Maryland.

The Calvert Marine Museum is located on State Route 2 in Solomons, Calvert County, Southern Maryland, twenty miles south of Prince Frederick, and about an hour and fifteen minutes from Washington D.C.

Directions:
From Washington, D.C. - Take State Route 4 South from the Washington Beltway to State Route 2-4 to Solomons.
From Baltimore - Take Interstate 97 south from the Baltimore Beltway, to Route 2 South. Continue south on Route 2-4 to Solomons.
You can also take I-97 south to the Aris T. Allen Boulevard exit (Route 665), then follow signs for Solomons Island, Route 2 South. Go south on Route 2, following signs for Prince Frederick. Route 2 will join with Route 4 - make a left from Route 2 onto Route 2-4 South. Follow Route 2-4 South to Solomons.
Once in Solomons, stay in the right lane of Route 2-4. It will exit to Route 2, passing under the Thomas Johnson Bridge. Make a left, drive approximately 200 yards, and the museum will be right in front of you.
From Richmond - Take U.S. route 301 north into Maryland, then State Route 234 east to State Route 5, south on State Route 5 passing Leonardtown, left on State Route 4 across the Thomas Johnson Bridge (lower Patuxent River Bridge) to State Route 2 at North end of the bridge, then right approximately 500 feet to the museum.

Zig Ziglar! For those of us in the Real Estate Industry know the statue of a man Zig Zigglar. In an instant everything changed. Zig Zigler fell down the stairs at home and had a severe brain injury. THE FABULOUS THUNDERBIRDS

With over 20 albums recorded and millions sold, Kim Wilson and The Fabulous Thunderbirds tour the world performing their own unique style of music. Known for barnburning hits like "Tuff Enuff" and "Wrap it Up" this group will have our 200 seat indoor auditorium rocking all night long.
With music ranging from pop anthems like "Powerful Stuff" which was featured in the Tom Cruise movie "Cocktail", to the low down blues of Chicago, this brand of honest music brings fans back time and again.
Having shared the stage with The Rolling Stones, Joe Cocker, Carlos Santana and blues legends BB King and Buddy Guy, The Fabulous Thunderbirds continue to tour Europe and North America, bringing more great music to their fans worldwide.
This intimate 200 seat performance will be a rare opportunity to enjoy hits like "Tuff Enuff" and "Wrap It Up."
Tickets for the show are $45.00 (additional service fees apply).
Seats for the show are general admission and are not assigned. Doors will open at 6:00 p.m., and the show will start at 7:30 p.m.
Beer, wine, soda, and water will be available throughout the evening.
Rock all night long with the Texas style blues and power rock sounds of The Fabulous Thunderbirds on Friday, November 13, at the Calvert Marine Museum's indoor auditorium.

Colorado Boy Safe After "Homemade Flying Saucer"Scare
What Do You Think?

Richard Heene The father of a 6-year-old Colorado boy whose disappearance held the country in thrall when it was believed he was trapped in a 20-foot "homemade flying saucer" that floated thousands of feet into the air. The boy, Falcon Heene, was found hiding in a cardboard box in an attic above the family's garage. Richard Heene, a storm chaser, and his wife Mayumi Heene, twice appeared on the ABC show "Wife Swap."
I am very glad Falcon is safe!
