The Maker's Market is a farmer's market and more...

If it's handmade, homemade, or homegrown then you can buy or sell it at the Maker's Market!

Annmarie Garden opens its parking area for this FREE and unique open air market experience on the first Saturday of every month from May - October.

This locally-friendly venue is an excellent place to sell handmade wares, crafts, artwork, baked goods, farm-fresh produce, potted plants, cut flowers, candles, soaps, and anything else that you make or grow with your own hands!

Shoppers will delight in the local treasures to be found here!

2010 Maker's Market Dates:

May 1, June 5, July 3, August 7, September 4, October 7 from 9am-Noon.

Parking is FREE and convenient! Admisison is FREE!

No two Maker's Markets are the same. Be sure to visit them all!

DIRECTIONS TO SOLOMONS

Solomons Island, Maryland is located on State Route 2 in Solomons,Calvert County, Southern Maryland, twenty miles south of Prince Frederick.

From Washington, D.C. - Take State Route 4 east from the Washington Beltway to State Route 2-4 to Solomons.

From Baltimore - Take Interstate 97 south from the Baltimore Beltway, to State Route 3 and U.S. Route 301 south to State Route 4. Continue south/east to State Route 2-4 to Solomons.

From Richmond - Take U.S. Route 301 north into Maryland, then State Route 234 east to State Route 5, south on State Route 5 passing Leonardtown, left on State Route 4 acrross the Thomas Johnson Bridge (lower Patuxent River Bridge) to State Route 2 at the east end of the bridge.

From Washington DC: Take Route 4 South to Exit 11 (Prince Frederick). Continue on 4 South, following signs to Solomons. Left on Dowell Road at Solomons Firehouse. Garden is less than 1/4 mile on left.

From Baltimore (Beltway I-695): Take I-97 (Annapolis) to Route 301 South (Bowie). Continue on 301 to Route 4 and follow signs to Solomons. Left on Dowell Road at Solomons Firehouse. Garden is less than 1/4 mile on left.

From Annapolis: Follow Route 2 South towards Prince Frederick/Solomons. Left (South) onto Route 2/4 at Sunderland light. Left on Dowell Road at Solomons Firehouse. Garden is less than 1/4 mile on left.

Casual waterfront dining on Solomons Island on their spacious deck or comfortable dining room. Their specialty is their crab cakes and they also offer hot and cold sandwiches, delicious salads, and fresh seafood.

• DiGiovanni's Dock of the Bay - (410)-394-6400

Experience fine dining down on the waterfront, serving homemade Italian seafood, pasta and meats cooked with fresh italian herbs and spices. They offer an extensive wine list.

• Vincenzo's - (410)-326-9900

Chef Vincenzo D'Arista masterfully combines classic Italian cusine and regional seafood favorites with the freshest seasonal ingredients.

• Zahniser's Dry Dock Restaurant - (410)-326-4817

Intimate, upscale dining offering steaks and seafood with a menu that changes nightly to offer the freshest ingredients available. They open daily at 4:30pm for dinner and offer Sunday brunch from 10:00am to 1:00pm.
