There are running clubs across Maryland in virtually every county! People or all ages and all experience levels are running for exercise, fitness, sport, competition and even charity. Did you know the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society ® has a Team in Training program® that offers individualized training program by a coaching staff ? Why? To raise funds for deadly blood cancers. In exchange for fundraising you get training and support. What’s more, you get healthy while you help save lives.

November 5th is Fall Colors/Turkey Trot 5K for all ages at Piney Run Park, 30 Martz Road Sykesville, MD. Registration begins at 8:30am Run time: 10 am to Noon Fee $30

November 6th is World Run Day, this is a virtual event where you run your own course or run with a group from your location of choice while others are doing the same around the world! Log on and put yourself on the map and pledge your charity of choice. The 2011 Official logo for World Run Day speaks volumes, it’s a passport design with stamps that runners can identify with: Achievement, Health, Giving, Stamina, Determination and Dedication.
