Rodgers Forge Real Estate, ZIP Code 21212, is located in the unincorporated Towson area of Baltimore County, Maryland, just north of the Baltimore City/County line. It is mostly a residential area, with rowhouses, apartments, single family dwellings, and a new complex of luxury garaged townhomes. The area also has a small amount of commercial development. It is located just south of Towson University.

Rodgers Forge takes its name from the blacksmith shop of George Rodgers, built in 1800, that was once located on the southwest corner of York Road and Stevenson Lane. In 1934, developer James Keelty's company began developing Rodgers Forge Real Estate, and over the next 22 years constructed 1,777 red brick rowhouses in the neighborhood. Today, about 7,000 people live in Rodgers Forge homes.

In 2004, Rodgers Forge gained international attention as the home of Olympic swimming champion Michael Phelps.

Five Guys Burgers and Fries Opens a New Store in Towson, MD

Five Guys does it again!! They just opened a new location in Towson. The new restaurant is located at 936 York Road, Towson, MD 21204 and is conveniently located just inside the beltway (I695) on York Road. At first glance the restaurant looks small, but don't let that deceive you, there is plenty of seating inside and outside (on a nice day) for you to enjoy their amazing burgers and fries.

Five Guys hasn't messed with their menu either. They offer their signature burger, cheese burger and bacon cheeseburger and the same range of mini burgers, fresh french fried potatoes and hot dogs along with soda. All are very reasonably priced. When we go as a family, we get one large order of fries and share it between the three of us.

If you haven't experienced a Five Guy's burger you are really missing out. Their toppings are always free and you can have any choice of mayo, relish, onions, lettuce, pickles, tomatoes, grilled onions, grilled mushrooms, ketchup, jalapeno, green peppers, A-1 Sauce, BBQ Sauce and Hot Sauce.

Five guys french fries are fried in fresh peanut oil and served in a cup and in a brown paper bag. Shake some salt, pepper and malt vinegar over them and shake them up and you are good to go. My Dad used to cook french fries like this and put them in a brown paper bag. It reminds me of home. The fries are amazing too.

We went at 3:00 pm and there were a lot of people there enjoying the burgers and fries.

An old jail in my town of Towson, Maryland is going to have a new life as a pool, office space, and hopefully a cafe.

Placed on the National Historical Registry in 1991, the Warden's building, built in 1858, is being renovated to preserve the original details while providing modern amenities.

I am excited that this 1.8 acres is going to be something so useful to the community. Though the pool is going to be private, the public schools around and camps/etc will have access to use. The local senior center will be offered largely discounted memberships.

The best part for my neighborhood, is that if you are a charter member, meaning that you pay $2500-$3500 to help build the pool, then that membership becomes part of your household. This means that when someone sells their Towson home, the membership can be transferred with the sale of the house.

Pools in our area fill up quickly. One opened in Timonium last year and their wait list is now 3 years long.
