In October 2011, there was a 200% increase in sales volume compared to the year before. With 9 homes sold during the month of October, this was also a 13% gain since September 2011. The average price has decreased by 13% year over year to 238K. This is also a 35% yearly price decrease.

In the residential real estate market of Freeport Maine, the 3rd quarter saw 36 homes sold at a median sales price of 314K. This represents a transaction volume increase of 38% compared with the third quarter of 2010. The median sales price was down 8% compared with a year prior. In general, volume has been up in southern and coastal Maine compared to last year at this time. With stable pricing, and list to sales ratio coming in around 96%, a home in Freeport Maine priced at fair market value will sell.

For the first quarter ending 2011, the Freeport Maine real estate market say 15 homes sell compared with 15 a year prior for the same time period. The median sales price was statistically down 34% to 190K from 289K, but overall this mid coastal housing market remains stable with pricing relatively flat year over year.

For the month ending January 2011 the residential real estate markets of Freeport Maine saw 7 homes sell .. the same number that sold a year prior, whilst volume was down about 46% compared with December 2010. Housing prices in the Freeport marketplace continue to stabilize with the median price this past January clocking in at 235K. The current inventory of homes on the market in Freeport remains low, but watch for many new homes to enter the marketplace this spring.

For the month ending August 2010 the residential Freeport Maine real estate markets saw 10 homes sell compared with 20 a year prior and 11 in July of this year. Housing prices in the Freeport marketplace continue to stabilize with the median price this past August clocking in at 300K. The current inventory of homes on the market in Freeport rests sits at 97 compared with 86 last month.
