Show them with local community videos of the area you peddle real estate in. Tell the 85% of folks who go on line to look for real estate, to search out and research a new area they know nothing about that you saved them the best seat in the house at the local events. Take them to school events, local sporting events, a tour of the downtown, a run down of the local banks, etc. Show them the local lakes, the video for all the local churches. Invite them into your canoe and take them down the annual spring races and serve them up a hot dog on the other end. Be friendly, be helpful, shoot - edit- post local community video. You the broker are the local tour guide, the guy or gal that lives here. Don't just write about, blog about, brag about homes and real estate. This Maine maine high school, last chapel houlton maine, local maine videosHoulton High School Senior Last Chapel video helps show a glimpse of that.  Schools in small Maine towns are a vital part of the local community.

Parents, grandparents, friends, neighbors all take part in raising the youth whether thru little league, thru church, actual teaching or hiring them as workers.

A real estate broker in that small town shows the events that happen here on line with local community videos.

Relatives many states away can take a peek at the events and feel connected, able to stay in touch. And folks considering moving here with children, can see how their kids will fit in, where they will be going to school, etc.

Local Maine community videos are important to shoot, edit, post on line as a resource. Enjoy the show.

Sure you list, market, sell real estate in whatever way it takes. But you live in a town or city with lots of local events, community experiences. Don't keep them a secret or hog all the local flavor for yourself. Lights. Camera. Action.

Bring your trusty video camera along when you take in the next state event that's in your venue. You are the host location for a major state tournament, festival, trade show, new development or success with lots of people pouring into your area which is an economic boon in motel, restaurant, gas sales.

The video coverage of the event you are at anyway is one more "thread" in the local fabric that you weave to show folks on the "outside" as they raise their periscope, doing sweeps back and forth on the net for places. Some may be relocating to their next assignment and hungry to be shown something about the new town or city on line before hand. They are going to need a home and not planning on sleeping in their car when they land here either. Hey, is that an "R" on your jacket? Can you say Realtor? houltonmaineshowchoircompetitionSure you can. Example, Joe or Josie Surfer works for border protection, etc. In Maine, since 911, we have have a major influx of uniformed folks working as border patrol, immigration, custom agents on the Houlton/Canadian border. They want to know about this new employment post way up here in the right hand corner of the world. Whip out your video camera that is carried like Clint Eastwood would pack a side arm.

You are at the event or should be working it if you are civic, community minded anyway. It is one more piece of the local puzzle that one by one make up the search engine "picture" of your local area. Doesn't take long and your pride and excitement of living in your hometown as the local professional will shine thru. Locals love the coverage too because you are showcasing not just homes, but why you love living where you do. Watch the Houlton Maine State Vocal Competition video.  I volunteered to MC the Saturday afternoon session so might as well capture it on video where I was parked right next door, up close and personal. Houlton Maine Arts Center For Performing Excellence In Southern Aroostook!

houlton maine high school, arts center expansion,

Houlton Maine has been  nicknamed "The Music Town of Maine'.

Year after year, show choirs, percussion ensembles, jazz bands and other state wide Maine competitions find the Shiretowners come out on top! The reason for such musical excellence is youth grow up singing in church and playing in
McGill's Band summers. Students start in early elementary school playing a musical instrument and singing difficult challenging works taught by band / music directors who all have the same passion and vision.  This year's band or music director passes the student to next year's director trained and there is no wasted time or lack of continuity to "build" a top performer.  The instructors sail and socialize and are thinking music on the job and off! The youth look happy, excited and without cockiness, know they are good. They have a well known reputation as do their instructors.  There is fierce local pride and tradition. But the Houlton High School facility has become way too small for the large band and musical productions that are put on thru out the year. So a major expansion of the SAD 29 high school auditorium is underway.  Check the Houlton Maine Arts Performing Arts website out. The Houlton Amphitheatre for outdoor summer concerts and  maine realtor Andrew Mooers, licensed real estate agentfor many other local community uses was funded and constructed by the Houlton Maine Rotary Club.
