This collection of birds hanging out like it was an Elks Club state hoopla celebration.
On a home in Masardis Maine in Aroostook County.
Asked on local what's the attraction, why this home on Main Street of all the rest?
Asphalt shingles, the birds like to peck peck and get something from the process of chipping away some salt, other nutrient. Of it's a high for their happy hour. Heat from the home not the attraction because empty home.
Just about the time of Legionaires Disease reports coming out of the Center For Disease Control.
And guess what was tied to the illness?
Pigeons.
And luckily the neighbor's bought it, tore it down. The value of the property was not that high with a run down Maine home on it. But NOT buying it would hurt the value of the Mr Roger's nice as punch place next to it. Taking away much more than the purchase price even with the tear down. Added a nice corner lot to the new Houlton Maine home owner's acreage too.

sleigh and puts a lot of stress on all his joints. Just ask a UPS guy or a mail carrier what that in and out, in and out can do to someone. Consider too his 60 inch waist and inability to just say NO when Mrs Claus slides a plate of sweets under his nose. Santa needs to work smarter, not harder. OSHA violations with toy making machinery made centuries ago with out safety guards. And local town North Pole officials probing in to lead contamination. Finger pointing on toy waste that could be messing up the town's water supply. It may be time to go. If he relocated to Northern Maine..easy easy..just say if, he could be pretty close to his market. And for the same reason Loring Air Force Base was put in Limestone ME back in 1950, this location is a cinch to fly up and over the North Pole to get to half way around the word in a wink of eye, twiitch of a red nose. He could take the interstate 95 as a guide to access the northeast and south east sections all the way to the bottom tip of Florida too.
Plus, during the off time, Santa could open up the amusement park he has always envisioned...one like Disney to help subsidize the more expensive toys that have creeped up on good boys and girls lists. Johnny wants a Porsche, Suzie wants a three carat solitaire.
North Pole internet connections now even with Hughes Net is not able to keep up with his attempts for automation. So the high speed connections speeds Maine is famous for would make the facilty run way way smoother. Save time. Zoning at the North Pole and restrictions on when reindeer can test fly with a loaded sleigh are only going to get more sticky now that town hall has his number and local popularity has him running a close second to the Tiger's current public opinion. It is hard to be a hero in your home town, like he is on the national scale. Here is a perfect piece of land...155 acres in Masardis Maine to consider Santa. Long long clear field for easy touch and go landings with the reindeer. Less grumbling about inclimate weather here in Aroostook County...sure we get snow. But not the storms where shingles get ripped off roofs. Not a lot of zoning to hem the big guy with the red suit and long white beard in either.
Not many people means less restriction or need for zoning that ties your hands at every turn with permits for this, public hearings for that.
With roughly 255 people last count, the elves can hammer, thrash, reindeer can play their reindeer games and who is going to get their knickers in a knot over it.
This Maine land has a drilled well, full septic, brook, is near Squa Pan Lake. Imagine 155 acres with field and woods. $129,900 is all. Ideal for growing crops to sustain the operation. And as for that Santa's Villiage, the real one...well, it may be the next Las Vegas for Christmas lovers. A place to bring their kids, pat a reindeer, see a tour of the operation. And meet the jolly red faced guy that has got to back off the sweets and egg nog. Better health care facilities nearby too with his high sugar / blood pressure.
Like a ball player that knows it is time to go, keep your head up, looking forward Santa and listen to that head elf, the cpa that has gone over and over the numbers to show it just makes sense. Watch the Maine land video.
